Aaron Ma - CEO, Founder

Aaron oversees clinical trial design and implementation at Cognitive Leap. Aaron specializes in data science and machine learning. Before joining Cognitive Leap, he was a biostatistician at Fulgent Genetics. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in statistics and applied mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Science in biostatistics from Columbia University. His research areas involve data platforms, machine learning, and computational neurology. Aaron serves as the Principal Investigator of the multi-site VRAT clinical trial and the project leader of the FDA regulatory application. He led the design in VRAT AI-engine development.

Andy Lam

Andy is an advisory board member at Cognitive Leap. He is active in capacities including physician, engineer, entrepreneur, and investor. Andy received his MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine, trained as an anesthesiologist, and has a BS in Engineering from Stanford where he was a President's Scholar and recipient of Engineering Honors. Andy has extensive experience in the financial sector which he gained as an analyst in the technology sector at a New York hedge fund with one of the highest performing track records in history. Andy is a co-founder and partner at Uprising, a VC firm in Silicon Valley, was on the founding team at PL Capital, and founded four other technology companies.

Crystal Goh

Crystal is a neuroscientist who serves as our Director of Research and Development. She has been with Cognitive Leap since 2018 and leads the company's product R&D, as well as coordinating partnerships and clinical applications of Cognitive Leap's products across the globe.

Edward Hallowell

Dr. Hallowell, or "Ned", is a true luminary on the world stage as a psychiatrist and commentator on ADHD. His commitment to reducing the stigma surrounding ADHD, along with his recognized and unparalleled appreciation of neurodiversity, provides fundamental inspiration for our products that broaden the horizons of children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr. Hallowell is a board-certified child and adult psychiatrist and graduate of Harvard College and Tulane Medical School. He was also a Harvard Medical School faculty member for over two decades. He is the Founder of the nationwide Hallowell ADHD Centers, and the visionary behind what he calls a "strength-based approach to neurodiversity," and has ADHD, as well as dyslexia, himself. Dr. Hallowell is a New York Times bestselling author of multiple books including Driven to Distraction, and has appeared on a myriad of popular television shows including Oprah, PBS, CNN, The Today Show, Good Morning America and many more. He was awarded the National Alliance on Mental Illness' Leader of Mental Health Awareness Award. Edward Lee

Edward is Founder and CEO of AIDP, a leading global research and development distributor of nutraceutical ingredients. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Focus Universal, Inc., a publicly traded company that provides patented hardware and software design technologies for the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G+. Edward was previously a partner in a semiconductor company, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, focusing on research in Chaos and Dynamic Systems, at the National University of Singapore, and an applied mathematics researcher in Tsinghua University. He holds multiple nutraceutical patents, and has published many papers in mathematics journals. Edward was an early investor in, and serves as director of, Magceutics/Neurocentria, dedicated to discovering and developing novel treatments for neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from Lanzhou University, his M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology, and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Florida.

Geetha Rao

Geetha Rao is the FDA Advisor at Cognitive Leap. Geetha holds a Master of Business Management degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a Ph.D. of Engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Geetha is a strategic advisor to medical device, healthcare, and philanthropic organizations, addressing issues for high-risk technologies, including medical devices, health IT, and connected health systems. Her particular focus on agile quality management and compliance strategy for rapid commercialization. She specializes in guiding companies in achieving lean and cost-effective quality and regulatory compliance. She also supports clients with regulatory legal problem-solving related to submissions, contractual issues in quality and risk, audit findings, and adverse events. She has established, audited, remediated, and maintained quality system processes and documentation for clients. She is an internationally recognized expert in risk management and supports international regulation and policy bodies, and standards development organizations with establishing standards and guidance documents in quality and risk management. Specifically, she leads standardization efforts for interoperable medical systems. She has addressed numerous industry forums and the press on issues of emerging health technologies and innovation trends for connected medical technologies.

Hui Qi Tong - Founder

Hui Qi serves as an advisor at Cognitive Leap. Trained in medicine in China and clinical psychology in the U.S., Hui Qi has extensive experience with clinical research and mindfulness-based interventions. She is a clinical associate professor at the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, as well as Director of the Mindfulness Program at the Stanford Center for Integrative Medicine. Hui Qi was previously a research fellow at the Genetics Division, Boston Children's Hospital of Harvard Medical School, a clinical fellow in trauma at University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco VA Health Care System, and was an academic visitor at the Oxford Mindfulness Center at Oxford University. She serves on the International Advisory Committee for AccessMBCT and on the international board for the National Psychological Recovery Alliance, Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and is a Jon Kabat-Zinn certified Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainer and supervisor as well as a trainer and supervisor for WHO's Problem Management Plus (PM+) in China.

Jack is an entrepreneur and pioneer in U.S. and Asia cross-border investment and operations. As Founder and CEO of Transworld Capital Group, Jack completed some of the largest M&A transactions between the U.S. and Asia, one of which was hailed as "one of the landmark deals of the era" by the Wall Street Journal. He has served as a board member on the Asia Society of Southern California, Methodist Hospital Foundation, American Chinese CEO Organization and Committee 2005, and was appointed Visiting Professor of Master and Applied Psychology at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Jennifer Wang was a Principal at one of the leading digital consulting firms in the US, and has over 15 years of experience in combining deep technical expertise, industry experience, and the operational and creative sights to deliver innovative, competitive technical solutions. She has extensive skills not only in leading design and development for database, data analysis, cross-platform (desktop/web/mobile) application, but also in managing and operating on technology products. She has built strong partnerships between technology delivery teams and software stakeholders to produce an array of technology-enabled solutions with exceptional outcomes. Prior to joining, Jennifer led the design and development of a trademark web and mobile application platform facing both business partners and end users. Being a proud mother of three children, Jennifer has always been very enthusiastic and motivated by children and adolescents' digital healthcare innovative concepts and trends of pioneers. Kari Sharp

Kari Sharp, MS, RDN has an educational background in both creative arts and health sciences. Combining these disciplines has enabled Kari to create two of her own successful businesses as well as to assist other health and wellness organizations to turn their ideas into thriving realities.

Lauren Stockly

Lauren provides Cognitive Leap with insight surrounding all things relating to child and adolescent mental health. She has a private practice in the Los Angeles area that integrates play therapy and mindfulness using a range of insight-oriented and evidence-based techniques. Lauren is one of the key persons behind the design of Cognitive Leap's treatment programs for children using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Lauren earned her MSW from the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to become a certified Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMHS) as well as a Registered Play Therapist. She has created her own EMDR tools, written a children's book about emotional regulation called "Be Mindful of Monsters," runs the popular blog CreativePlayTherapist.com, and also serves on the Executive Board for the California Association for Play Therapy.

Missy Zhongmei Jiang

Missy leads Cognitive Leap's operations in Asia Pacific. She is responsible for expanding our assessment and treatment solutions to some of the largest and best-known hospitals and rehabilitation centers in China in order to increase access to mental healthcare for children with ADHD. As a physician, Missy visited and studied at Cleveland Clinic in 2018 and Boston Children's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University, in 2019. Missy has extensive experience working with a major multinational healthcare company, where she supported the product development and sales teams implementing and deploying medical information technology products across Asia. Missy earned her medical degree from China Medical University and her Master of Science (MSc) in Health Informatics from Swansea University in Wales, UK.

Richard Walden

With over 40 years of experience in global humanitarian development and venture philanthropy, Richard supports Cognitive Leap's mission of accessibility as applied to mental health assessment and treatment worldwide. Richard is the President, CEO and Co-Founder of Operation USA, an international relief and development nonprofit based in Los Angeles, California. He is the recipient of multiple humanitarian awards, and his Operation USA shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a key member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Richard's work has reached over 101 countries and had over $400M in impact. Richard previously served on California's Health Facilities Commission. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance, and a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Sam Chang

Before joining Cognitive Leap, Sam co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Triniti Interactive Limited, one of the most recognized names in mobile gaming. During the company's first 10 years, he led the development of numerous games for iOS and Android, including GAMEBOX 1, one of the Apple App Store's top ten games of 2010. In 2017, Sam began leading virtual reality game development, converting such titles as "Call of Mini: Infinity" and "Call of Mini: Dino Hunter" from mobile to VR. Sam is also skilled in graphics and system security.

Trudy Goodman

Trudy has practiced mindfulness-based psychotherapy with children, adolescents and individual adults as well as couples for over 25 years. She is the founder of InsightLA and contributed to the creation of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.
