Karissa B. Anderson earned her B.A. in Legal Studies and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law. She has been practicing law in Lake County for 15 years with experience in all areas of family law including parental allocation responsibilities (formerly called custody), parenting time privileges, child support, maintenance, paternity, post-decree actions, and civil litigation. She is also a certified mediator. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association and Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County. Currently, is the Past President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County Illinois and is an active member within the Lake County Bar Association, Co-Chairing the Community Outreach and Diversity Committee.
