MCCALEB WEALTH MANAGEMENT - Key Persons

Brian Robinson

Brian Robinson's interest in finance and investments started in college when he took his first economics class. He was fascinated by the way economics affected the world - from buying commodities to international monetary policy to behavioral economics, it all made sense. From then on, he knew he wanted to work in the financial industry and has been doing so for more than 20 years. As a partner of SharpePoint, Brian co-founded the practice with the mission to help clients make sense of their entire financial life and future. He's worked to build the firm to provide hands-on and consistent oversight, where their investments and financial plans are constantly monitored, adjusted as needed, and legacy protected. Brian oversees the investment management division, where he personally conducts the firm's investment research and analysis and builds and manages client portfolios. As an advisor, he offers clients financial planning and risk management strategies, as well as empowers them with education. Brian is a problem solver by nature and instills trust in his clients that he will get them the answers and solutions they require to help them accomplish their financial goals. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Brian advises his clients on all of their planning needs, including minimizing taxes, estate and retirement planning, and cash flow analysis. He holds the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor SM (APMA®), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor SM (CMFC®), Accredited Asset Management Specialist SM (AAMS®) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor SM (AWMA®) designation. Brian holds his FINRA Series 63 & 66 licenses. Brian received his bachelor's in economics from Arizona State University, where he also served as the gymnastics coach for the university's men's team. He previously worked at Charles Schwab and Waddell & Reed where he received several awards for exemplary service to his clients. He currently serves as a board member of the Leadership Circle for Phoenix Children's Hospital. Brian has been married for 20 years and has three daughters. His hobbies involve anything outdoors, including boating and fishing, and of course, whatever his girls are doing.

James Regan

James (Jim) Regan always knew he wanted to help people. In college, when he realized that most people lacked real-world knowledge of the financial industry, he set out to change that. He began reading The Wall Street Journal, and for four years straight, he read the newspaper cover to cover, immersing himself in the markets and economy. James began his financial career to help educate and empower his clients to take control of their financial future. As a co-founder and financial advisor, James' goal with SharpePoint was to create an independent registered investment adviser (RIA) where he would have the ability to truly serve in his clients' best interests. As an advisor, he helps his clients to look at the big financial picture and plan for and coordinate all important areas of their financial life. James is most proud when he can help his clients create the roadmap to reach their financial dreams and goals. James graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's in marketing and minor in finance. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and holds his FINRA Series 65 and life and health insurance licenses. He is currently studying to become a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP ®) to better service his clients as they near or are at retirement. Before his career as a financial advisor, James proudly served his country in the Air National Guard and was deployed three times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal and was named a "Hometown Hero" by the City of Springfield, Ill. for his service. He formerly served as Chairman of the Board for Military Assistance Mission, a nonprofit that serves active-duty military, veterans and their families. James and his wife are proud parents of Eliana and their most recent addition, Pierce. James loves being a husband and father, and enjoys spending time together as a family.

Jason L. McCaleb

Job Titles:
  • Financial Advisor
For over 22 years I have been caring for our clients in helping them reach their long-term goals and obtain their values. I have done this through making sure I have a clear understanding of my client's goals, risks, time horizons, values, etc. Then I implement a plan that both I and the client agree to and we follow that plan through to fruition by communicating and adapting as needed along the way. Our clients understand that we make investment decisions based more on fundamentals and less based on emotions. By becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), as well as Smartvestor Pro with the Dave Ramsey Program, I am held to higher code of ethics and professionalism than a financial advisor is without these credentials. These credentials qualify me to be a better fiduciary for providing financial planning and in the management of my client's assets.
