Adrian Banning is an Interventional Cardiologist and Professor of Interventional Cardiology at Oxford University. He has an international reputation in PCI clinical trials, and in research relating PCI to myocardial injury. Adrian Banning is the President of the British Cardiac Intervention Society (BCIS), leads the ‘Oxford Live' PCI teaching course each year and has national profile in PCI training and advanced techniques.

Andrew Lucking is an Interventional Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He has extensive experience in cardiac catheterization and intervention, primary PCI, and intravascular imaging with IVUS and OCT. AL has a well-established background in clinical research in interventional cardiology and is an expert in inflammatory mediators, thrombosis, and vascular injury after PCI and STEMI.
Dr Dimitrios Terentes-Printzios (Research Fellow) worked and did research in hypertension and cardiovascular disease recording more than 50 full-length publications with an H-index of 17 and almost 1000 citations. During this period, he concluded his Ph.D. thesis on vascular aging (CRAVE study) and he was granted access to analyse large multicentre studies (SPRINT trial). In addition, he co-organized multicentre studies (PHAETHON), contributed to the reference values for central blood pressures and performed meta-analyses that were included in the recent Guidelines. He was awarded the Paul Dudley White International Scholar award at 2018 and 2019 AHA Scientific Sessions and 2 times the Best Poster award in ESC congresses. He became a cardiologist in 2018. He has been training since in the Cath Lab of the Oxford Heart Centre as a fellow in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr Giovanni L. De Maria (Investigator) is a consultant cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He is an interventional cardiologist and has worked in the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation trust for close to 7 years.
Dr Rafail Angelos Kotronias (Research Fellow) currently works as an Academic Cardiology Trainee at the Oxford Heart Centre and the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Oxford. He is aspiring to train as an interventional cardiologist with an interest in coronary artery and calcific aortic valve disease. His current research work focuses on invasive and non-invasive multimodality assessment of coronary artery disease utilising coronary physiology, cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.
Dr Sam Dawkins (Investigator) is a Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He has expertise in general cardiology, interventional cardiology and is a specialist in valve intervention, including TAVI and MitraClip. He is one of few interventional cardiologists also accredited in cardiac CT.
Jeremy Langrish is an interventional cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital and has extensive experience in cardiac catheterisation, PCI and intravascular imaging. He has a background in clinical research and a strong interest in vascular biology and mechanisms of vascular dysfunction.
Mayooran Shanmuganathan (Post CCT Cardiology Research Fellow) is a cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation and cardiac imaging. Research interests include pathogenesis of heart failure, ischaemic heart disease and cardiac MRI. Currently reading DPhil in Medical Sciences at University of Oxford researching into novel applications of cardiac MRI in acute myocardial infarction.
Peter Manley (Lead Neuro MRI Radiographer) provides MRI scanning services for research into acute vascular events, mostly neurovascular and cardiac, on a range of patients from healthy volunteers to the acutely ill.
Keith Channon is the Chief Investigator of OxAMI. He is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Oxford University and an Interventional Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He has extensive experience in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI ) and intravascular imaging and in atherosclerotic plaque and vascular biology. Keith Channon is Director of R&D at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and Director of the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre.
Raj Kharbanda is an Interventional Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, and previously at Harefield Hospital. He has extensive experience in cardiac catheterization, PCI, radionuclide imaging DPD use and intravascular imaging with IVUS and OCT. Dr Kharbanda has a well-established background in clinical research in interventional cardiology and is an expert in inflammatory mediators and tissue injury after PCI.

Robin Choudhury is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine in the University of Oxford, Clinical Director of the Oxford Acute Vascular Imaging Centre and Honorary Consultant / Interventional Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital and University of Oxford. He leads a research group that focuses on the characterisation and targeted modification of inflammation in vascular disease. He is Principal Investigator of the TriPartite Immunometabolism Consortium [TrIC] and has lead clinical trials in the fields of cholesterol modification and inflammation. He is co-Lead for the Cardiovascular Theme of the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre and Chair of the Atherothrombosis Clinical Study Group of the British Cardiovascular Society.

Vanessa Ferreira is Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Oxford and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. She is DeputyDirector of the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR). She is nationally and internationally recognised for her expertise in applications of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in acute cardiac presentations with a particular scientific interest in novel imaging biomarkers.
Yujun Ng is experienced in managing various research and clinical studies. Supports the administration of clinical research in OxAMI Study. Leads day-to-day delivery of clinical research activities and assists with data collection/entry.
