R. GALE LOCK

The company, R. Gale Lock Co., was founded in 1971 by Ron Gale. He is a passionate gun collector with a self taught knack for gunsmithing. Our original products included a full line of muzzleloading locks, parts, and kits. In 1971, R. Gale Lock Co. introduced its famous Carnauba gun wax, known today as RGL-36. In 1996, R. Gale Lock introduced its first line of spirit based gun stains. The Dark Walnut Gun Stain, known today as RGL-69, immediately became our top selling gun stain and still is to this day. Over the years, RGL has expanded to offer six different blends of our famous RGL Walnut Gun Stains. Along with, 4 different blends of our Military Gun Stains, 1 Special Blend Gun Stain, and 2 different forms of our famous Carnauba Gun Waxes. In 2015, Ron Gale made the decision to step down from the business that had he built out of his barn and transferred the business and assets to his grandson, Stanley Wolak III.
