NANYAN - Key Persons
Chen Zihan is a first-year Financial Media student at PKU HSBC Business School (PHBS). Coming to us from Shaanxi, China, she enjoys playing piano and is a food photograph enthusiast. In fact, she manages her own official WeChat account. Zihan will graduate in 2020 and would like to be an editor at a food magazine.
Deng Kexin is a second-year law student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) from Hunan Province. She likes to watch movies, participate in some outdoor activities, go travelling, and eat yummy stuff when she has spare time. She graduated from Sichuan University, and treats Chengdu as her second hometown. Deng Kexin plans to explore many interesting topics to present in our platform, such as cross-culture sharing, career experience sharing, report of intriguing activity. In the future, she looks forward to being a foreign-related litigation lawyer, specializing in civil and commercial disputes.
Dominika Mindekova is a first-year management student at the PKU HSBC Business School (PHBS). She hails from Zvolen, Slovakia and enjoys traveling, within China especially! When not reading from her favorite author Ernest Hemingway, she likes to do creative projects, practice yoga, and learn foreign languages. After her graduation in 2019, she would like to start her own business.
Dou Min is a 2L year student at PKU School of Environment and Engineer (SEE) . She comes from GanSu Province and got her bachelor's degree in Si Chuan University. Dou Min likes food like beef noodles, dumplings, sesame seed cake and other delicious food. she also likes swimming and taking a walk by the river in UTSZ. What is more, Environment protecting and scientific research have been her concerns. She believes a truth-one day, she will becoming a scientist.
Elaine Wang is a first-year student at the School of Urban Planning Design (SUPD). You can find her around campus training for a marathon, or on her phone, which wears a case that she designed herself. After graduation in 2020, she would like to teach.
Elysia Sun is a 1L student at the School of Transnational Law (STL). Though she suffers from sensitivity to motion sickness, she overcomes it each time to enjoy her solo travels all around the world. But when grounded in Shenzhen, you can often find her studying alongside most law students. Elysia will graduate in 2021 and plans to pursue a career as a lawyer.
Floy Chen is a 2L student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL). This left-handed writer hails from Wenzhou, China and most enjoys writing about exploring Shenzhen. She has been with the Nanyan Observer for one year and will graduate from her law program in 2020. After her time at PKU Shenzhen, she would like to pursue a career as a lawyer.

Andrew is a first year student at Peking University School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology. His hometown is Guangzhou, which is the provincial capital of Guangdong and not far from Shenzhen. He enjoys playing violin and singing. In the future, he hopes to do further study abroad.
Gillian Mutyambizi is a second year at the Peking University HSBC Business School. She comes from Zimbabwe, a country in southern Africa. Gillian enjoys working out and creating content in her spare time. After graduating in 2021, she plans on getting a job in the financial industry and also travel to some of her favourite destinations.

Hou Sumin (Zoe) is a 1L student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) from Zhejiang Province. She grew up in Lanzhou, a city in the northwest of China. She likes to listen to stories. She has not decided her future goal but she is waiting for its arrival.
Kate Wu is a first-year student from Zhejiang province at the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering (SECE). This writer enjoys the mental tranquility that accompanies a good run, and is also fond of swimming. Kate will graduate from her Computer Application Technology program in 2020, and will work as a computer engineer after her time at PKUSZ.
Kathy Ding is a first-year student at the School of Urban Planning and Design (SUPD), studying Urban and Regional Planning. A native of Hunan, China, she enjoys traveling, swimming, and painting in her free time. After graduating from her Landscape Architecture program in 2020, she would like to travel all around the world.
Lin Yifu is a 1L student at the School of Transnational Law (STL) from neighboring Guangzhou. When not preoccupied with STL obligations, he likes to keep active and can often be found jogging, cycling, or hiking around town. After graduating in 2020, he would like to pursue a career as a lawyer specializing in foreign direct investment.

Lorenzo is a second-year Master of Management student at HSBC Business School in Shenzhen. After graduating in Italy in Chinese language and literature in 2018, and having already come into contact with Chinese culture, he decided to move to China to extend his knowledge of Chinese language and the field of business. Among his interests there is football, music but the most important is traveling because only by traveling you can learn more about the world and people of different nationalities. After graduation he would like to stay and work in China.
Miko Jiang is a 3L year student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) . She comes from Shandong Province and spent four years in Chongqing for her bachelor's degree in English literature. Miko is definitely a foodie who loves to explore every corner of Shenzhen for specials. She believes food brings us not only fat but also stories. Moreover, gender equality and non-violent conversations have been her concerns for years. Thus, she is striving to be a great lawyer in the future.

Peng Shaojuan is a first-year student from PHBS who majors in Financial Media. She comes from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, which is located in the southwest of China. Therefore, she enjoys spicy food and really welcomes people to have hotspot with her! She enjoys playing table tennis in her spare time. She thinks it's really excited to join this big family.
Raphael Thomas is a first-year finance student at the HSBC Business School. Growing up in NYC, he learned the ropes of Cantonese before he learned Mandarin. When not studying, you can find him doing martial arts or walking his rescue dog, Xiaobao. After his graduation in 2019, Raphael would like to work as a data analyst.
Ren Shuyan is a first-year student at the School of Urban Planning and Design (SUPD). Coming to Shenzhen from Lu'an City in Anhui province, Shuyan enjoys making friends, having a good laugh and reading books (fiction, specifically!). After she completes her Urban and Regional Planning Program in 2020, she would like to become a teacher.
Rosy Wu is a 3L student in PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) from Suzhou, Jiangsu. She enjoys food (hot pot), movies, music, reading, and traveling. By experiencing different cultures and meeting with different people from diversified countries, she finds herself getting to know the world better. Rosy believes the most important thing to remember is: no matter where you go, go with your heart.
Su Jianxin is a third-year student from Peking University School of Transnational Law. She is from Binzhou city, Shandong Province. She is always curious about every unknown area, and willing to explore it. During the pandemic, she developed several new interests, such as computer drawing, clay figuring and baking bread/cookies. Su Jianxin wants to be a lawyer who is good at arbitration, but she is not sure about it yet. Therefore, she tries to find an internship these days related to arbitration and wishes this will be her real love.
Su Zemei is a first-year student at HSBC Business School from Hebei Province. She enjoys playing board games and ball games in her spare time. As a student in Nanyan, she wants to try more interesting things and make more friends.
Sun Qing is a first-year student at the School of Urban Planning and Design (SUPD). Hailing from Nanjing, China, Qing is personally very fond of the scenery in her hometown but is warming up to Shenzhen just fine. When she isn't studying for her Geography program, she can be found on campus reading books. After her graduation in 2020, she would like to further her education.
Wandong Yang is a full-time student of the School of Urban Planning and Design-their first full-time international student in fact! She comes from Singapore and is a foodie extraordinaire. You can often find her exploring restaurants she discovered while browsing Dianping. She is heavily involved with various organizations on campus, and often writes about campus life here at PKU Shenzhen. She plans to graduate in 2019 and would like to do work with non-profit organizations.
Wang Haozhe is a first-year student at Peking University School of Transnational Law. She is from Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province. In her spare time, she usually watches movies and hangs out with friends. She also loves swimming. While following her dream to be a good lawyer, she would like to lead a colorful and fulfilling life in Nanyan.
Wu Xian (Anita) is a 2L student from Peking University School of Translational Law. Her hometown is Sichuan Province. She likes exploring delicious food and taking photos. She will pursue a law-related career after graduation.

Xia Zhidan is a 3L student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) from Hunan Province. She likes traveling to have different experiences and make new friends. After graduating in 2022, she would like to pursue a career as a lawyer.
Yan Runhua is a student of PKU School of Environment and Energy (SEE) from Changsha, Hunan Province. She enjoys traveling to new places and trying local food, exercising for a nice figure, and watching films and going shopping for fun. After graduation, she will work in a field related to her major.

Zhang Wendou is from the School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology. His hometown is Siping, Lilin Province. He has his heart set on discovering the secrets of science. He also likes playing the piano, taking photos, and traveling. He has great interest in international politics and hopes he can be a teacher in a university after graduation from PKU in 2023.
Zhao Xinyu (Emma) is a 2L student at PKU School of Transnational Law (STL) from Shandong Province. She likes to experience different things and always tries to create something different. She likes singing and painting in her spare time. After graduation, she will pursue a career as a lawyer.
Zheng Hongqian is a second-year student at the School of Urban Planning and Design (SUPD) from Nanping, Fujian province. After graduating from her Land Use Planning program in 2019, she would like to work as a civil servant.
