WISCONSIN IPA

Wisconsin IPA, Inc. was initially organized as Progressive Physician Network, Inc. (PPN) under Chapter 181 of the Wisconsin Statutes on December 9, 2008. In March 2017, PPN was restructured and changed its name to Wisconsin IPA, Inc. ("WIPA"). WIPA is a clinically integrated Independent Practice Association (IPA) and as such provides the structure for collaboration among WIPA physicians in an active and ongoing program designed to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare. Under this clinically integrated model, WIPA has single-signature authority to jointly negotiate health plan agreements on behalf of the independent practices. Joint contracting with health plans is a necessary component of this program in order to accelerate improvements in health care delivery.
