Wintonbury Farm is a small, family-owned operation dedicated to producing high quality, naturally-grown forest shiitake mushrooms for health-conscious consumers and high-end restaurants through direct restaurant sales, local food markets, and farmer's markets in northern New York State. Our mission is to cultivate a high-demand product that is regionally recognized for superior quality and reliable supply while sharing our passion for local food, organic principles, and sustainable farm and forest management practices... Wintonbury Farm LLC is a small family farm in northern Jefferson County New York, producing shiitake mushrooms in addition to hay and pasture for local organic dairy farmers... Our New York farm dates back to the mid 1800's. The most recent owners acquired the farm just after WWII, and operated a dairy farm here while raising a family (and from what we hear, they hosted some pretty spectacular barn dances too!).
