John Rooney

John joined Kit in 2015, having worked with him for a number of years at Bristol City Council. John has worked in Enforcement for many years and brings with him a wealth of knowledge that he has put to good use in private practice. John is a fast and effective worker, and has submitted a wide range of planning applications since he joined us. John's understanding of planning law, gained through his enforcement experience, enables him to provide clients (and us!) with detailed and well-informed advice, and to easily find solutions to planning problems.

Kevin Morley

Job Titles:
  • Principal Planning Consultant
Kevin (a chartered Town Planner) joined us in June 2017 from Bristol City Council, where he worked for 14 years in various roles, including Development Management; Strategic Citywide Policy; and Enforcement. Kevin is well-known in the industry for being a positive and pragmatic planner and facilitator. He is an excellent communicator and experienced planning negotiator. His extensive background gives him an excellent understanding of all aspects of the planning process, which he puts to good use and is an asset that is proving to be invaluable to our clients. Kevin's Development Management experience covers a range of types, with specific specialisms in major and minor residential developments, mixed-use development, listed buildings, sports & leisure development and civic projects. He also has significant experience in community engagement as a result of his Policy background.

Kit Stokes

Kit has acted for clients in both urban and rural developments. He has acted as an expert planning witness at a number of hearing and public inquiries.

Phil Morgan

Job Titles:
  • Practice Manager
Phil joined us October 2017 intially to cover maternity leave, in his time with us he has maintained our internal office matters, finance, whilst dealing with clients and supporting the planning consultants. Phil has worked in an office enviroment for 15 years in Financial Services and Manufacturing sectors with 8 years in office management, specialising in continous improvement by streamlining processes and procedures to increase productivity and customer satisfaction. Also with his knowledge and experience he will be looking at business development to help grow the company. He will be overseeing the systems in place run smoothly, responsible for keeping our software, website and social media current and up-to-date.

Rebecca Morgan

Rebecca brings enthusiasm and determination to all her projects, and has worked on a diverse range of schemes in her previous and current roles, both urban and rural. She has successfully worked with many institutions, such as the Ministry of Defence; the Emergency Services and a number of education establishments, providing planning advice at the feasibility stage, and leading the project through the planning process to deliver a successful outcome. This has involved managing and drafting Environmental Impact Assessments and managing large, multi-disciplinary teams during the preparation and submission of an application. Rebecca has negotiated a number of planning obligations and secured permissions for several major development proposals, including a firing range and tactics house in a former quarry in the Green Belt; redevelopment of a number of sites in Bristol City Centre; and new student accommodation at the University of Bristol's Stoke Bishop campus
