ABOUT US . Allens Carpentry is run and managed by John Allen. John is a fully qualified NVQ Level 3 Carpenter/Joiner, achieving his qualification at Somerset College in 2000. John completed his 3 year apprenticeship in 2002 with a joinery shop in Taunton where he learnt the importance of accuracy, attention to detail and many other key skills. John soon realised that being in the same place every day wasn't enough for him so he decided to move into the world of carpentry and start his own carpentry business. The difference between joinery and carpentry is simple; a joiner makes the door, a carpenter fits the door. With his many years of experience of working in the trade John has worked on a wide range of different projects from building log cabins, new homes & extensions to creating full renovations and loft conversions and fitting kitchens and bathrooms.
