Ashley Brown

Ashley Brown is a Property Administrator for Epic Property Management Services. In her role, she assists the Property Management team with all operations and administrative services for more than four million square feet of retail assets, interfacing with owners, tenants and vendors on a daily basis. Prior to joining Epic, Ms. Brown was an Accounts Payable Specialist for Core-Mark International, the largest marketer of fresh and broad-line supply solutions to the retail convenience industry. Before working at Core-Mark International, she spent nearly five years in the insurance industry and held a property and casualty license. Ms. Brown is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Information and Technology with a focus on Cyber Security Systems from Strayer University. She is also an active member of BOMA Greater Dallas.

Cody Brightwell

Cody Brightwell is an Asset Manager for Epic Real Estate Partners. In his role, Mr. Brightwell is responsible for executing the company's value-add strategy, including managing third-party vendors, redeveloping properties and negotiating tenant leases. Prior to joining Epic Real Estate Partners, Mr. Brightwell served as the District Manager for Chuze Fitness, a national fitness chain. In his role, Mr. Brightwell oversaw a district of over 100 employees and helped Chuze Fitness enter the Colorado market, opening 5 locations in the Denver area. Prior to his work with Chuze Fitness, Mr. Brightwell was an associate for Austin-based Keller Capital, a family investment firm owned by Gary Keller, Co-founder of Keller Williams Realty. At Keller Capital, Mr. Brightwell was responsible for sourcing both off-market and marketed properties in the Austin area, as well as underwriting and managing the firm's commercial real estate. Mr. Brightwell is from Austin, Tx and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Louisiana State University. Mr. Brightwell is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Daniel J. Holland - CEO, President

Daniel J. Holland is President and CEO of Epic Real Estate Partners. Under his stewardship, Epic, which has partnered with institutional investors since 2012, has purchased 23 shopping centers with an aggregate value of more than $532 million. Mr. Holland's primary responsibilities include leading EPIC's growth efforts, fund raising, acquisitions, operations and strategy execution. A veteran of 42 years in the real estate industry, Mr. Holland previously served as Managing Director of Acquisitions for Kimco Realty Corporation, the largest open-air shopping center REIT in the nation, where he specialized in acquiring grocery-anchored and power center projects for the company's southeast and midwest regions. Prior to working for Kimco, Mr. Holland was part of the executive team at Weingarten Realty Investors, where he spent approximately ten years as Vice President and Regional Director of Acquisitions. While at Weingarten, Mr. Holland was responsible for nearly $1 billion worth of acquisitions and development for the company, and acted as Weingarten's principal contact with Target Corporation, earning him praise for sourcing and developing more than two million square feet of Target-anchored developments throughout Louisiana and Tennessee. Prior to joining Weingarten, Mr. Holland was a senior vice president in the Investments Division of the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Company, a global real estate advisory firm, specializing in the sales of retail centers ranging in size from small strip centers to institutional-grade power centers throughout southeast Texas, as well as assisting national retail tenants with surplus property disposition and user site selection. While at Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Holland repeatedly garnered honors as a Top Ten Producer. Mr. Holland is a graduate of the University of Texas where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jamie Hudson

Jamie Hudson is an Analyst for Epic Real Estate Partners. In his role, Mr. Hudson provides a variety of support to both the acquisitions and asset management teams, including ARGUS underwriting, acquisitions due diligence and property budgeting. Prior to joining Epic Real Estate Partners, Mr. Hudson was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte in their advisory group. In that role, he worked on valuation projects for Fortune 500 clients and consulted on several high-profile bankruptcy cases. Mr. Hudson has underwriting/valuation experience in retail, office, industrial and multifamily assets. Mr. Hudson is a 2019 graduate of Texas Christian University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate.

Jason Maddox - CFO, COO

Jason Maddox is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for EPIC Real Estate Partners. A veteran of 20 years in the real estate industry, Mr. Maddox founded EPIC with Daniel J. Holland and Nick Tortorice in 2012. Since inception, EPIC has purchased 23 value-add retail centers nationwide with an aggregate value or more than $532 million. Mr. Maddox's primary responsibilities include leading EPIC's asset management, redevelopment, investor relations, and financial reporting teams. Prior to forming EPIC, Mr. Maddox spent over nine years working as Vice President at P.O'B. Montgomery & Company, a Dallas based privately-held operating company specializing in acquiring retail shopping centers in partnership with several major private funds, public REITS and life insurance companies, including AREA Property Partners (formerly Apollo Real Estate Advisors), Guggenheim Real Estate, Kimco Realty Corp, GE Capital, L&B Advisors, Hunt Realty Investments, Thackeray Partners, Protective Life Insurance Company and Long Wharf Real Estate Partners (formerly Fidelity Investments Real Estate Group). While at P.O'B., Mr. Maddox held responsibilities in asset management, development, partnership reporting, acquisitions, due diligence, financing, lease negotiations, dispositions, and corporate strategic planning. Prior to joining P.O'B., Mr. Maddox spent two and a half years serving as a Case Team Leader and Consultant at Bain and Company, a leading global strategy consulting firm. Mr. Maddox worked alongside the senior management teams of large, global corporations developing their corporate business strategies, including sales-force effectiveness, pricing, customer retention, and acquisition analysis. Prior to joining Bain, Mr. Maddox worked for Koch Industries, the second largest privately-held U.S. company with revenues exceeding $98 billion. While at Koch, Mr. Maddox played an integral role in the acquisition of Purina Mills, supervised the mid and back office for the agricultural trading floor, and provided accounting and trading support for the beef division, one of the top 10 cattle feeders in the country. Mr. Maddox holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Maddox is a graduate of Kansas State University where he obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting, summa cum laude, and Animal Science, summa cum laude, with a Minor in Economics. Mr. Maddox has passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountants (Kansas Society of CPA Gold Key Award), Certified Management Accountant (national Beyer Medal winner), and Certified in Financial Management examinations and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jennifer Cao

Jennifer Cao is the Controller for Epic Real Estate Partners. Ms. Cao brings more than ten years of real estate accounting experience to Epic. Prior to joining Epic, she served as the Finance Director at a local non-profit organization, helping the organization secure and maintain crucial grant funding. In her role as Finance Director, she also established detailed grant budgets and structured accounting practices. Prior to working in the non-profit industry, Ms. Cao worked as an Accounting Manager and Project Accountant at Hines Real Estate and Cypress Real Estate Advisors. During her time at Hines, she specialized in the accounting of multi-family land development projects and office properties. Her experience at Cypress includes Fund level reporting and REIT compliance reporting. Prior to that Ms. Cao served as an external Auditor at Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Cao obtained both her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting at The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Cao is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kristina De La Rosa

Kristina De La Rosa is a Property Manager for Epic Property Management Services. Ms. De La Rosa brings more than 10 years of commercial property management experience in both retail and office assets to the company. Prior to joining Epic, she served as Property Manager with Regis Property Management and oversaw a portfolio encompassing 600,000 square feet of office and 100,000 square feet of retail assets and a team of four employees. Before working for Regis, Ms. De La Rosa honed her property management skills at third-party property management firms Lincoln Property Company, Stream Realty Partners and Transwestern Property Company, where she was responsible for the daily operations of more than 1.5 million square feet of property in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. She is an active member of BOMA Greater Dallas and is pursuing her RPA designation.

Laura Browne

Laura Browne has nine years of property accounting experience working at Capstone Real Estate Services and more recently, Byram Properties. In her roles with Capstone and Byram, Ms. Browne focused on property accounting and financial reporting for both multi-family and retail property types. Prior to working in property management, she also held various accounting positions in the banking industry. Ms. Browne obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Master's in Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago, IL.

Nancy L. Edwards

Nancy Edwards is the Director of Property Management for Epic Property Management Services. Ms. Edwards has more than 25 years of property, facilities and asset management experience, and has additional expertise in environmental compliance. Prior to joining Epic, she was a Senior Property Manager at Madison Marquette, overseeing the daily operations of a Class A high rise office building for its client, Nuveen Real Estate. In this role, she served as a member of Nuveen's Property Management Council where she assisted in revising and implementing property management policies and procedures for all asset teams across the country. Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Ms. Edwards served in the role of Senior Property Manager for six years on a portfolio of 18 assets totaling more than four million square feet of retail, medical facility, medical office, government, industrial and Class A high rise real estate assets with CBRE, an international leader in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Before coming to CBRE, she managed a portfolio of ten medical office assets with Lincoln Harris, CSG. She started her commercial real estate career nearly 26 years ago as an Assistant Property Manager with Lincoln Property Company. Over the years her growth and industry knowledge progressed as she worked with companies such as Weitzman, Gaedeke Group, and Holt Lunsford. She also served as an Asset Manager and the Environmental Compliance Manager for six years with USRP, which was one of the largest restaurant-focused public REIT's in the United States. Ms. Edwards received her RPA designation through BOMI in 2002, her CPM designation through IREM in 2011 and is a licensed real estate sales agent in the state of Texas. She is currently affiliated with ICSC, Dallas IREM, BOMA Greater Dallas, and WIFM (Women in Facilities Management). Over the years Ms. Edwards has served on and lead numerous committees in both IREM and BOMA and has been nominated for two Lonestar Awards for BOMA Greater Dallas.

Nick Tortorice - Chief Investment Officer

Nick Tortorice is Chief Investment Officer of EPIC Real Estate Partners. A veteran of 21 years in the real estate industry, Mr. Tortorice founded Epic Real Estate Partners with Daniel J. Holland and Jason Maddox in 2012. Since inception, he has administered the purchase of 23 shopping centers with an aggregated value of more than $532 million. Mr. Tortorice's primary responsibilities include leading EPIC's acquisitions, dispositions and debt sourcing. Prior to forming EPIC, Mr. Tortorice spent four years working as Director of Acquisitions at P.O'.B. Montgomery & Company, a Dallas Based privately-held operating company specializing acquiring retail shopping centers in partnership with several major private funds, Public REITS and Life insurance Companies. While at P.O'B., Mr. Tortorice was responsible for acquisitions nationwide and closed nearly $100 million worth of value-add grocery anchored shipping centers. Prior to being recruited to work at PO'B, Mr. Tortorice spent two years as Acquisitions Executive for the Southeast Region and Texas at Weingarten Realty Investors, a publicly traded REIT. While at WRI, Mr. Tortorice sourced and closed more than $270 million worth of grocery anchored and power center retail acquisitions. Previous to being promoted to Acquisitions Executive at WRI, Mr. Tortorice spent two years as Senior Acquisition Analyst, where he was responsible for running the underwriting and due diligence process for more than $1 billion worth of retail assets. Prior to joining Weingarten, Mr. Tortorice was a Senior Credit Analyst with Comerica Bank in the Commercial Real Estate Loan Group. While at Comerica, Mr. Tortorice was responsible for underwriting development and bridge loan credit facilities for retail, office, multi-family and industrial properties. Mr. Tortorice holds a B.A. in Economics as well as a B.A. in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Paris Mues

Paris Mues is a Property Accountant for Epic Real Estate Partners. Ms. Mues is recent graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance as well as a Real Estate Certificate. Ms. Mues grew up in the real estate business, coming from a family with many years in both the commercial and residential sectors. Her experience as an intern in the family business, Pembrooke Real Estate LLC, in Golden, CO, provided the stepping-stone to her current role today.

Reagan Tanner

Reagan Tanner is a Property Manager with Epic Property Management Services, bringing with her more than 12 years of commercial property management experience in retail, office and office flex assets. Prior to joining Epic, Ms. Tanner served as a Senior Property Manager with Hartman Income Reit, a Texas-based owner/operator of office and retail properties. Prior to working at Hartman, Ms. Tanner began her property management career managing nearly one million square feet of multi-family properties for PMI North. Ms. Tanner is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a BS in business management. She also is a member of BOMA Greater Dallas and is pursuing her RPA designation.

Tiffany Tran

Tiffany Tran is a Senior Paralegal for Epic Real Estate Partners. Ms. Tran brings more than 28 years of legal real estate experience to the company. In her role, Ms. Tran is responsible for Lease Administration, Estoppel/SNDA/Abstracting processes and Lender Compliance. Prior to joining Epic, she served as Senior Paralegal for Kimco Realty Corporation, North America's largest publicly traded owner and operator of openair, grocery anchored shopping centers, and mixed-use assets. Prior to working for Kimco, Ms. Tran was an integral part of the Legal Growth Division of Weingarten Realty Investors, one of the nation's premier retail REITs. During her 18-year tenure, she worked on and assisted with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and loans in excess of $1 billion in value for Weingarten. Previous to Weingarten, Ms. Tran worked for Landry's Restaurants, Inc., Ryan & Hill, LLP, and Bisk & Lutz, LLP, since starting her career in 1994. She is an active member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America.
