G2 CONSULTING ENGINEERS - Key Persons
Austin serves as a Mechanical Designer for G2 Consulting Engineers. Austin graduated from Kansas State University in 2020, with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering and a Business Minor. He has proficiently learned the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Chris serves as the Electrical Director for G2 Consulting Engineers, which provides direction and leadership for all electrical, low voltage, and architectural lighting design activities. He is also a founding member of the firm. Chris began his career at an electrical engineering firm in Nevada where he held the position of Senior Project Manager. After sixteen years of service at the firm, Chris moved to Colorado pursue additional professional opportunities. During his first five years in Colorado, Chris worked for an MEP engineering firm, eventually serving as the head of their electrical department. In 2016, Chris along with his two business partners, founded G2 Consulting Engineers, Inc.
When not in the office, Chris enjoys just about everything outdoors. From fly fishing and archery, skiing, to outdoor cooking and spending time outside with friends and family, he can often be found utilizing all the great outdoor opportunities Colorado has to offer.
Coupling David's time spent commissioning, energy modeling, and performing energy audits with his design and project management experience has given him a unique perspective of understanding all the critical details involved in the successful integration of HVAC systems into any number of project types.
Greg serves as the Project Director for G2 Consulting Engineers. He provides leadership and general direction for the firm. As a hands-on engineer, Greg is involved with projects from concept design thru construction administration and Owner occupancy. Greg began his engineering career in 1999. After spending eighteen years at a MEP engineering firm where he held the position of Senior Project Manager, he along with his two partners founded G2 Consulting Engineers in 2016.
When Greg is not working he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying all of the great outdoor opportunities Colorado has to offer. If Greg is not engaged in a conversation with a friend or family member you will find him trying to slip in a workout, outside fishing, hunting, or relaxing on a beach.

Jaymie has worked as a plumbing designer for the past fifteen years, working closely with the design team to complete jobs on time and within budget. Her design experience is a wide range of projects ranging from large gaming and hospitality projects to small office renovations.

Kalib has worked as a mechanical design engineer for the past eight years readily working with the design team to complete jobs on time and within budget. His project experience includes new construction and building renovations of commercial spaces, education, health care, and residential. With his wide range of project experience, Kalib has a working knowledge of many different mechanical systems.

Kate serves as Senior Electrical Project Manager for G2 Consulting Engineers, providing project management and detail design for electrical power distribution, fire alarm, and lighting systems.
Kevin has worked in the HVAC and plumbing industry for the past eight years and serves as a project manager for G2 Consulting Engineers. After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, he started his career working as a project engineer for a large design-build HVAC and plumbing contractor in Atlanta, GA.
He is proficient in the design of mechanical and plumbing system, value engineering, controls, and energy modeling. He has project experience in high rise offices, mixed use buildings, hospitality, residential, and industrial projects. Kevin enjoys working with owners, developers, and architects to deliver projects on budget and on time.
Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Nick serves as G2's Commissioning Director and Lead Controls Engineer. He works with the owner, design team and contractors to ensure that the project goals are met. These goals include delivering a project on time and within budget.
Nick has 12 years of experience and has served as a designer, project manager and commissioning authority for all types of projects including Hotels, Mixed-Use, Residential, Education, Corporate, Amusement, Healthcare, Commercial, Grocery, Restaurant and Retail projects.
His main strength lies in his ability to document all project information and clearly communicate all roles and responsibilities to the project team from schematic design through warranty. Communication is the key to ensure that the design team contract documents convey all expectations to the construction team through project completion. He works with the contractors to review issues on site, allow them to correct deficiencies, track all items until they are fixed, and then back check to ensure that systems are performing in line with the owner's expectations. His next step is to develop a relationship with the facility maintenance team to ensure that they have been properly trained on all systems to understand all schedules and modes of operation that will lower utility bills and allow equipment to run as efficient as possible for the life of the building.
Nick has extensive experience dealing with Energy Codes and ensuring that all project documentation is completed on time in order for the facility to obtain their Certificate of Occupancy. At the outset of each project, he will engage the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to discuss code interpretations and pass on all exceptions to the project team.
In his down time, Nick enjoys spending time with family, playing Disc & Ball Golf, coaching Ultimate Frisbee, Swimming, Biking, Longboarding and playing Guitar and Piano.
Nikki is the Office Manager for G2 Consulting Engineers. Since she joined the firm, she maintains accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly billings. Additionally, she provides any other administrative support to her team that will ensure the daily operations run smoothly. Nikki graduated with a BA from the University of Wyoming in 1997, and has been living in Colorado ever since. In her free time, Nikki enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband, her two children, and their two miniature schnauzers.
Troy serves as G2's Commissioning Agent. He brings over 20 years of field experience including certifications for central plant equipment including chillers, boilers and pumps. He has a low voltage license in the state of Wyoming and had a mechanical license in Rapid City South Dakota. He has an associates degree in refrigeration and air conditioning technology and has extensive knowledge of Indoor Air Quality. His family has worked on building systems for 3 generations and he has experience on all project types from gas stations to hospitals.
Troy has been on-call with facilities teams including Rapid City Regional Hospital. He has performed retro-commissioning on a variety of projects including. Western Dakota Technical College, Rapid City Wastewater Treatment Plant and Spearfish City Hall. He has been the project manager for several multi-year service contracts for school districts, medical centers, restaurants and grocery stores. He has an extensive knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration controls systems and works with the controls contractors to ensure that point-to-point commissioning is performed accurately and with a high degree of workmanship.
When Troy is not working, you can find him riding his motorcycle or reading a book. He enjoys spending time with his family and can fix pretty much anything that needs a little attention.
