Blake A. Pino

Blake Pino is an associate with our firm. Blake is a Baton Rouge boy, born and raised. He attended Catholic High School (Class of '05) and went to Louisiana State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business (concentration on business management) in 2009. Blake continued his studies at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University obtaining his Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in 2012. Blake has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar since October 2012. Before joining the team at Hannah, Colvin & Pipes, Blake was an Assistant City Prosecutor and Assistant Parish Attorney for the City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge. He handled a broad range of cases from misdemeanor summons to subrogation litigation and collection work. Blake practices in the area of general civil litigation, including insurance defense and personal injury; however, most of his practice is dedicated to automobile subrogation and collections. Blake oversees and manages hundreds of litigation files from institution to resolution. His practice has allowed him to develop experience at the trial level throughout Louisiana. Blake is a member of the Louisiana and Baton Rouge Bar Associations and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Blake offers a wealth of knowledge and practical experience from being in a courtroom setting almost every day from his work with the City/Parish. His congenial personality and ability to connect with clients coupled with his extensive courtroom experience allows him to provide big-law talent with the personal touch of a small firm.

Randy Pipes

Randy Pipes is a founding member of our firm. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana, on January 25, 1962. He received his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 1983. After earning his undergraduate degree, Randy returned to Louisiana State University and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1986. Randy was a member of the National Honor Society and the Pi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Randy was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1986, and, in 1987, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana in 1987. Following law school, Randy served as a law clerk for the Honorable Felix H. Savoie at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal. After practicing insurance defense and subrogation with Hank Hannah and Michael Colvin at Ward & Clesi, Randy, Michael and Hank decided to further develop their skills and create their own firm. Randy practices in the area of general civil litigation, including insurance and products liability defense; however, over ninety-percent of his practice is dedicated to automobile, property, fire, and worker's compensation subrogation for both small and large insurance companies. Randy has extensive experience litigating at the trial and appellate levels of both state and federal courts throughout the country and has handled products liability litigation in 46 states, Canada, and Mexico. He is both a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) as well as a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI); the only attorney in Louisiana to hold such certifications. Randy is a member of the American, Louisiana and Baton Rouge Bar Associations; the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel; Defense Research Institute; the National Association of Fire Investigators; the National Fire Protection Association; the National Association of Subrogation Professionals; and the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals. Randy's dedication and determination drives him to succeed. His attention to detail and creative litigation strategies are unparalleled and allow him to obtain results that otherwise seem impossible. While Randy formulates and aggressively pursues each avenue of recovery, his priority always remains the clients' needs and objectives.
