J. Christian Stadler, III

J. Christian Stadler, III was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in Virginia, with a double major in Political Science and in History. After college, he worked as a liaison for the Tarrant County Elections Administration, for a member of the Texas House of Representatives, and for Trinity Habitat for Humanity. Christian was a member of the inaugural class of the Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law. He was the President of the Student Bar Association, the President of the Family Law Society, and the President of the Federalist Society. He was a student member of the Academic Integrity Committee, and he worked as a Faculty Research Assistant. For four consecutive years in a row, he was recognized by the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division for leadership as a law student at the annual Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Conference. His work, Ethics of Cost Efficiency: The Impropriety of Cost Consideration When Deciding to Charge a Death Penalty Case was published in the 2013 edition of Perspectives on Capital Punishment in America. Christian began his practice of law as a solo practice attorney by accepting appointments in the criminal and juvenile courts. Over time, he took on matters including adoption, divorce, conservatorship, probate, social security, and immigration. Christian currently serves as the President of The Matt Birkholz Memorial Foundation, a charitable not for profit corporation aimed at raising funds to research and fight childhood cancer.

Jean Smathers

Jean Smathers was born in Waynesville, North Carolina. She followed her husband to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1982 and began working at Fourth Circuit Court, Knox County. Before moving to Knoxville, she was Senior Bookkeeper/ Deputy Clerk for the Superior Court of Haywood County from 1979 to 1982. Jean was hired on as Bookkeeper and later to Supervisor. After 33 years of service, she retired and started a new career as Paralegal to Michael C. Inman in April 2015. Education Jean graduated from the University of Tennessee as a Certified Public Administrator and prior from Haywood Community College. Hobbies In her spare time, she goes to Waynesville, NC where they maintain and enjoy the family home. She loves to travel, read and enjoy the company of her six grandchildren.

Michael "Tony" Hill

Michael "Tony" Hill was born in Marion, Virginia. He served in the United States Army and attended Radford University where he majored in Political Science and Economics. Tony graduated from Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law, and was the founding member of the Veteran's Law Society, wherein he served as Vice-President. He also worked as an intern with the Knox County Veterans Treatment Court. Tony enjoys playing his guitar, is an avid weightlifter, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Michael C. Inman

Michael C. Inman was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He served in the United States Marine Corps and attended the University of Tennessee (B.A., 1999, with Honors), and Cumberland School of Law (J.D., 2002), and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2003. He was a law clerk for the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Michael is admitted to practice in all of the state courts, as well as the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. He is a Master of the Bench of the American Inns of Court, Hamilton Burnett Chapter. Hobbies and activities include painting, guitar, and deep sea fishing.
