IN HARMONY LAMBETH

In Harmony Lambeth (IHL) was launched in 2009 inspired by the Venezuelan El Sistema Programme. It is primarily a social action programme which encourages the pursuit of musical excellence to enrich the lives of children, young people, families and the wider community around the Stockwell and Vauxhall area... In Harmony operates within a national framework of core principles, but is locally autonomous, responsive and entrepreneurial whilst remaining answerable to Arts Council England. In Harmony is led by Lambeth Council and is jointly funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Education.
