I entered the world of sales in 2011, when I met my soon-to-be boss at a business startup show. He was a great mentor and I was exposed to the many facets of business development, including technology such as marketing automation and search engine optimisation... Having been there a while, and hearing some positive feedback from colleagues in partner organisations, I decided to work for a software company, and it was my first foray into Sales Performance Management, or SPM for short. Having been in a large quota carrying role, I understood the benefit of such solutions instantly... I have been in the SPM "universe" ever since, and been lucky enough to have had access to many CPQ solutions from multiple vendors. The roles I've held have always been a balance of technical and sales, which I enjoy. I have also had the good fortune to have been coached by one of the best on how to enable sales transformation through change management.
