OAK DOOR STRIPPING

Oak Door Stripping offers a professional and high quality stripping and finishing service on a variety of wooden and cast iron items such as doors, furniture, shutters and fireplaces allowing you to restore your home to its former glory... Stripping process: Items are dipped in a warm caustic solution then the residue is removed by pressured jet washers. Then we offer the option to neutralise your item with acetic acid (sodium hydroxide is alkaline in nature so we recommend your item to be neutralised to a neutral PH level) and left to dry slowly and naturally by placing into a dehumidified room until it is completely dried... Water based products, acrylic and polyurethane products cannot be removed through the stripping process, but we offer hand strip service
