Many of us will experience times in our lives when we feel that we are not able to cope effectively with the challenges that are facing us. Counselling may be able to help us at such times. The support that counselling can offer is not to supply off the peg solutions to life's problems which we simply need to adopt for all to be well again; rather it provides a safe, non-judgemental, confidential environment where we can be supported to explore the origins and causes of the challenges we face and to work towards achieving positive outcomes that lead us to a more comfortable and self-fulfilling place in life... My interest in counselling grew out of support that I received during a particularly challenging time of my own life. I was fortunate enough to work with a counsellor who supported me to explore the root causes of my own challenges and to identify changes to both my own understanding and to develop coping strategies which allowed me to move towards a place in life where I was..
