PUDDLETOWN SQUARES

Puddletown Squares is a not-for-profit corporation established to support the growth of Modern Square Dancing in Seattle, Washington. We offer classes, workshops and public dances open to all, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, and each year we host an annual weekend fly-in. We have a large contingent of dancers each year at the annual convention of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs (IAGSDC). Our membership is comprised of dancers who participate in all programs of Modern Square Dancing, as defined by Callerlab, USA... These fees cover the following expenses: badges, newsletters, recruitment, publicity, liability insurance, and the purchase and maintenance of equipment and dance recordings. We also provide a partial subsidy to an annual Mainstream program class, and classes for other Callerlab programs as the need arises, as well as scholarships to caller school (offered annually at the IAGSDC convention) for those who are interested in learning to call..
