At Rosehill Infant School, we believe that the development of language and literacy skills is of the highest priority. We have a diverse intake of children who between them speak many different languages. Whilst we value all languages, our aim is for all children to develop the necessary skills to become effective users of the English language in a collaborative and inclusive environment... We are a lively and vibrant school which serves Normanton in the heart of the city of Derby. Our children come from a very wide range of cultural backgrounds and we are proud of their achievements. We speak over 30 different languages within our school and there are always new words and phrases to learn from each other!... We want our children to "love, LEARN and laugh together" and want our families to feel part of the Rosehill community.
