SHEILA MARIE

I was born and raised in Buffalo NY to middle working class parents who taught me the value of a solid work ethic. I was a total "Daddy's girl" spending much of my time in the garage helping him build and rebuild classic cars. My mother was very concerned that as a kindergartener, I was the only girl who went to school with grease under her finger nails... On show and tell days - my talent was the ability to take apart and put back together a carburetor... I liked that it set me apart... The ingenuity that was in my DNA and my true desire to take things apart and put them together lead me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. For my senior design project, I helped design and build a Formula One race car which I later drove to win in a race at Phoenix International Raceway. I tell you this because this degree and my experiences working in the Space Industry working on Military Programs designing and building, structuring and managing global teams taught me a great deal.
