STARBOX ACCOUNTANTS - Key Persons
Charlie is working towards qualifying as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). He works with Nick and Matt to deliver a range of services to individuals and small entities in the creative and media sector.
Qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Dan has been advising businesses and their owners for over 15 years. His principal areas of expertise include specialist VAT planning and advice, corporate taxes and HMRC enquiries and dispute resolution.
Emma is trainee working within the tax team. She is currently working to towards her ACA & CTA qualification. She works alongside Mason and Holly, in both tax advisory and private client, specialising in personal tax and other tax advice. Outside of the office, Emma enjoys playing D&D with her friends, video gaming and binge-watching various TV series.
Fran provides administrative support to the team. She assists clients and colleagues, providing general day to day support and ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. Outside of the office, she enjoys running and spending time with her family.
Holly is dual qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and recently became a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant. She specialises in the creative and media sector, where she provides bespoke tax advice including advising on international tax planning.
Jack is a part-qualified Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) due to fully qualify in 2022. He works with Sam and Katie to deliver a range of services to SMEs in the creative and media sector.
Katie qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and works with a diverse range of SMEs. She works closely with Sam to deliver tax and accounting advice to clients in the creative, media and entertainment sectors.
Mark has a wide range of experience, both in practice and industry, supporting growing businesses. He specialises in guiding clients through their options, ensuring clients have the tools to grow their business to the next level.
Mason joined Carpenter Box in 2020. He works in the Tax Services Group tax advisory team, helping clients across Carpenter Box and StarBox with their tax affairs. Mason is also the tax team's cryptoasset specialist and supports clients on recording their cryptoasset transactions and tax reporting on gains and income from crypto assets.
Matt has a wide range of experience assisting clients with their accounting, tax and software needs. He works closely with Sam and Nick to provide holistic advice to clients within the creative, media and entertainment space.
Nick works closely with clients from a number of sectors including new media, owner manager businesses, property development and property investment. He has considerable experience in implementing new accounting systems for clients, in particular assisting with the move into cloud-based solutions.

Reece is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and works with a diverse portfolio of SMEs. He enjoys going beyond the numbers, helping businesses to understand their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to design solutions to achieve their business and financial goals. Outside of work, he likes playing and watching sport. He also loves long walks with his dog, Richmond.
Sam works with entrepreneurs and start-ups, helping them to grow and scale their businesses. He specialises in helping business owners understand their financial position so they can control costs and make more profit, providing them with the tools to take their business forward.
Samuel joined the StarBox team late April 2022 and is currently working towards his ACCA qualification (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He works to deliver a range of services in the creative and media sector. Outside of the office, Sam likes to work out, play on his PS5 and has a love for heavily modified cars.
