Earlier this decade, with a growing trend towards buying of new residential furniture, rather than restoration of the old, we expanded our business to cater for new markets where we saw a compelling need for quality upholstery - both to repair in-use upholstered furniture, and to realise bespoke new creations, such as those now often demanded in the hospitality and residential sectors. With this change of direction to embrace the Medical, Hospitality and Marine sectors in additional to Residential work, our company name changed to ‘Specialist Upholstery Services - The SUS Group' - as we are known today... The Speciality Upholstery Services foundation began by serving a rigorous apprenticeship during the 1980s with an old established firm which was formed during the Second World War... Specialist Upholstery Services specialise in re-upholstery, furniture repairs and restoration for medical, marine, hospitality and residential applications.
