I joined STAR Vets in 2019 as a member of the reception team...
I've been a Receptionist at STAR Vets since 2019 and feel very lucky to work here. I really love the daily variety it gives me, from admin tasks and meeting new people, to seeing surgeries. I also love meeting the wonderful array of pets We see in practice.
At home, I have two dogs who I adore; they are real characters and I love seeing them discover and play. My Labrador/Corgi has growth issues with her legs, so I have seen first hand the fab benefits of the rehabilitation treatments that we offer here, which have made her much more comfortable without the need for medication.
I have always had a lot of different pets, at least three dogs, a cat, rabbits, hamsters, fish, and we used to foster rescue dogs. I also loved the opportunity to go to my relative's farm to feed the newborn lambs and see their horses and livestock.

I graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at University College of Dublin in 2003, having previously obtained a BA (Applied Psychology) from University College Cork in 1997.
Following graduation in 2003, I moved to the UK, starting my career in small animal practice in South Wales. In 2005 I moved to the Midlands, where I have spent most of my career. I enjoy all aspects of small animal work but am particularly interested in preventative health care and feline medicine.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons. Together we enjoy country walks, gardening, and planning our next adventures with our much-loved Cavapoo called Bertie!
