TAUGHEEN NATIONAL SCHOOL

The ethos of our school is developed and enriched by the interaction and shared dialogue on the core values of the school, involving all the partners in education - the Patron, Board of Management, teachers, parents and students.One of the main strengths of our school is the pleasant, friendly atmosphere where teachers and pupils alike enjoy working together. We cherish all children equally and help them achieve their full potential, build up their self-esteem and develop a love of learning, and pride in achievements and tasks well-undertaken... The school is under the patronage of Archbishop Michael Neary, and is managed by a co-operative, hard-working Board of Management which is fully supportive of school activities and improvements. Because of this, in Taugheen NS many facilities and resources were provided for the school long before the introduction of grants. The present Board has overseen the most recent phase of change in our school.
