Tezira Trust is currently run entirely on a voluntary basis. We have a steering group made up of the Directors and other individuals who bring their unique personal and professional experience to the running of the Trust. The Steering group oversees the stewardship and good governance of the Trust and guides and supports the Directors to ensure that the Trust is doing what it was set up to do in an efficient and transparent manner... Tezira Trust is a not for profit Community Interest Company registered in the UK. We empower and support the most disadvantaged children with learning disabilities and their families. Based in South London, we target African and Afro-Caribbean communities here in London, as well as in Uganda. Our goal is to facilitate self-help, reduce isolation, raise awareness, challenge stigma and improve quality of life for children with learning disabilities and their families... In Uganda, Tezira Trust aims to fill the large existing gap in relation to children..
