TROWSE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Trowse Primary School was started in 1870 by the Colman family (famous for Colman's English Mustard and much more) in order to accommodate the educational needs of the workers' children. Today, we are a popular, successful and friendly primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 years. Our ethos is one of a calm learning environment where children are challenged and supported to be the best they can be... To achieve this we have some fairly unique features for a Norfolk Primary School. We use the International Primary Curriculum- taught in schools in over 90 countries around the world- but no other primary schools in Norfolk. All children learn to Ski at Norfolk Snowsports and learn to sail at Whitlingham. We also make sure children in Key Stage 2 (year 3 upwards) are engaged in pupil coaching (1-2-1 time with the teacher) to reflect on successes and areas for improvement- increasing student independence and making them really ready to move on to High School...
