- Student Veterinary Nurse ( SVN )
I am currently attending Bicton College 1day a week working towards my RVN qualification. I joined the practice in 2017 and completed my ANA training here too. I am looking forward to becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse and I am particularly interested in surgical nursing. In my spare time I enjoy walking my staffie, Floyd and spending time on the water with my family.
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2009 I have worked for Selworthy Vets ever since! In recent years I have focused more on small animal surgery and reserve my interests in mixed practice for the menagerie of animals we keep at home. Outside of work I enjoy ballet and competing at agricultural shows with our Jacob Sheep in the Summer.

- Veterinary Physiotherapist
Our Veterinary Physiotherapist, Chloe Tuckwell, graduated from Harper Adams University in 2019 with BSc (Hons) Veterinary Physiotherapy. Her studies included a 44-week work placement at Bach Canine Rehab in West London, a specialist Canine Hydrotherapy & Physiotherapy Centre, gaining invaluable practical experience. She is registered with the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), and will soon be registered with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA) after completing a Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy.
I started my veterinary career at the former Hair, Beaumont & Partners, progressing through the ranks to becoming a partner in the practice, doing extensive mixed practice duties and some lecturing in farm animal preventive medicine at Seale Hayne Agricultural College.
I joined the team at Selworthy Vets in March 2020 and I am mostly found out and about providing farm and equine veterinary services with one day a week based at the practice for small animal work.

- Diploma Veterinary Nurse ( DipVN HRVN )
I am the joint Head Veterinary Nurse at Selworthy. I qualified from Bicton as a Veterinary nurse in 2013. I then went travelling to Australia and New Zealand for 6 weeks which I thoroughly enjoyed and hope to go back again in the future. I enjoy all aspects of my Job but have special interests in Surgical Nursing, Animal welfare and helping wildlife. In my spare time I like to spend time with my wife, 2 children and our Dalmatian cross Border Collie Marley at our local beaches and on Dartmoor. I also really enjoy gardening.

I am the Joint Head Veterinary Nurse at Selworthy, I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005, after attending Bicton College of Agriculture. I thoroughly enjoy my job and take particular interest in laboratory work, behaviour and medical nursing. In my spare time, I enjoy riding my horses.

- Animal Nursing Assistant ( ANA )
I started at Selworthy in 2017 while completing my ANA course at South Devon College. I used to be involved on the patient care side but these days you will find me either on reception or doing admin related things! In my spare time I like to travel and visit new places with my two Cocker Spaniels Noah and Flossie.

- Registered BSc Veterinary Nurse
After completing my BSc Veterinary Nursing degree and graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011, I was offered a job back at Selworthy Vets in July 2013. I completed a years work placement at Selworthy as part of my university degree in 2007, so it has been nice to join the team again. I feel my role as an RVN fulfilling and find it very rewarding, I enjoy the day to day variety of cases, especially the nursing of intensive care patients and running nurse clinics.
In September 2013, I completed a clinical coaching course, so I am now able to assist with the training of Student Veterinary Nurses and I am also one of the trained First Aiders at the practice. In my free time, I enjoy rowing, playing netball and mixed hockey, spending time with my husband Jacob and our families and friends and walking our two Dalmatian x Collies, Jasper and Marley, on the beaches and moors.
I have worked in the veterinary industry for over 20 years and I Joined Selworthy 2021 having worked previously in a small animal hospital as well as an orthopedic referral practice. I have two rescue cats called Evie and Arthur and enjoy walks in the local area in my spare time.
