The Angus Reid Institute was founded in October 2014 by pollster & sociologist, Dr. Angus Reid. It has the status of a registered charity in Canada... The Angus Reid Institute is a national, not-for-profit, non-partisan public opinion research foundation established to enhance and encourage better understanding of issues and trends affecting economic, social, governance, philanthropy, public administration, domestic and foreign policy in Canada and its world... As a non-profit foundation, Angus Reid Institute and all of its employees, when acting in their professional capacity, are prohibited from participating, directly or indirectly, in any political campaign activities on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office. In addition, the Institute has a strict prohibition against partisan political activity by senior staff, even when they are acting in their individual capacity and on their personal time.
