Aaron comes from a trade background in carpentry and has broad range of skills and knowledge gained throughout his career in the construction industry. He pays great attention to detail and his proactive approach to creating a high-quality finish stems from his experience in custom home builds and working on site as a sole trader. Aaron has great leadership and communication skills, and prides himself on always striving to provide a professional service and a finish that is second to none.
With 5 plus years of industry experience, Alex began his construction career as a Cadet Estimator and quickly progressed to the role of a site-based Contract Administrator. Alex has since delivered projects across a variety of sectors including tertiary, secondary education, healthcare and community. Alex's key strengths are his pleasant nature, diligence, and ability to learn quickly, which make him a valuable member of Balmain & Co's team and we look forward to watching him go from strength-to-strength in his role as a Junior Project Manager.
Angus started at Balmain & Co in the final year of his Bachelor of Engineering at Swinburne University and has become a real asset to the team. He has a proven knack for problem solving and a strong willingness to learn which we believe are key contributors to his success so far. Since starting his career with Balmain & Co, Angus has taken on a number of roles from tendering and estimating, to head office day-to-day operations which lead to a full-time site-based contract administration role where he was able to gain valuable project experience allowing him to take on project management responsibilities.
Ben is an experienced Project Manager with excellent construction knowledge, an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. With 17+ years of experience in the construction industry, Ben is a respected member of the Balmain & Co team, coupled with the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with on-site personnel and demonstrated record of consistently meet construction schedules.

Close Ben Thompson Basement/ Structure Manager Ben's wealth of knowledge stems from his background working on large rail and civil infrastructure type projects. He is a highly motivated individual and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. Specialising in in-grounds and basement retention, Ben thrives leading our specialist structural teams across Balmain and Co's construction projects.
Close Brett Howard HSR Brett joined Balmain & Co in 2019 following a change of industry. His background in health and safety enabled him to quickly find his feet in construction and he has since worked on various Balmain & Co sites in HSR capacity. Coupled with formal OH&S training, Brett plays a vital role in promoting a positive safety culture and the coordination of occupational health and safety activities on site.

With 35 years of experience in various roles within the construction industry, Brian (also known as Veg) is a seasoned construction professional with impeccable organisation skills and a meticulous approach to any task at hand. As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager at Balmain & Co, Brian is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our warehouse in West Melbourne, management of company tools, plant and site bound assets, and the coordination of pickup/ deliveries between sites and head office.
Callum comes from a trade background with a high level of attention to detail and a meticulous approach to any task at hand. Highly driven by nature, he has steadily progressed from Leading Hand to Site Manager throughout his time, various roles and projects completed with Balmain and Co.
Close Chris Glover Leading Hand Chris is an experienced carpenter and leading hand, and has worked on many of Balmain & Co's key projects throughout his time at the company. His versatility and dedication to craftsmanship is second to none, and he is a great mentor to his teammates.
Chris joined Balmain & Co in a Contract Administration role which primarily saw him responsible for subcontract administration including tendering, vetting, subcontract awards, variations, and progress claim assessments. He has since progressed into the role of a Project Manager where his personable manner and attentive approach to his work allows him to thrive managing correspondence and internal reporting, covering finance, quality, programme, and resource management.
Chris comes from a trade background and has 5+ years of industry experience. He is a diligent, highly motivated, and has developed a strong trade network and proficiency in project management and reporting software whilst working on a range of construction projects throughout his career.
Christine is highly organised in nature, has excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of attention to detail. With previous experience in accounts, business administration and customer service, Christine joins our accounts team and will utilise her skillset to manage the accounts functions within Balmain & Co.

As our Financial Controller and Human Resource Manager, Clare brings an impressive skillset and vast range of professional experience in finance, enterprise resource management, information and communications systems. She has a passion for creating and promoting quality improvement and growth, along with a proven track record in creating strategic partnerships and networks to ensure the best outcomes for the business.
Curtis is a Registered builder and qualified carpenter with a high standard for quality workmanship. He is highly experienced in project management/site supervision, estimating, managing trades and working to client expectations and budgets.
As one of Balmain & Co's two directors, Danny oversees all of the estimating, tendering, contract management, project management, design management and development management across every project. He is highly experienced in design management, value engineering and value management throughout the tender, contract award and design development process. Danny was a contracts manager at Grocon over a six-year period on the HM@S Beach Apartments Project and Eureka Tower Project and worked for Probuild Constructions for several years after graduating with a Bachelor in Applied Science from RMIT. Danny also successfully managed the design and construction of over 500 apartments across 15 projects for developer, SMA Projects, over a nine-year period as the Construction Manager.
With a Carpentry background and over 10 years of experience within the construction industry, Dash possesses a high level of attention to detail and strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship. Dash works well in high pressure environments, utilising his leadership and communication skills in his role as a Site Foreman at Balmain & Co
As the Estimating Manager at Balmain & Co, David ensures all estimating functions are accurate and delivered on time. David also looks after important systems and processes, administration and documentation, and supplier agreements. David has a thorough understanding of the construction sequence which stems from his industry experience working as a full-time, site based Project Manager at Balmain & Co.
Following an impressive 13+ year career in senior roles within the hospitality industry Dildar made the move to the construction industry. Once qualified, he worked in both estimating and project management roles for multi-residential development projects. Dildar brings strong leadership, financial and operational management skills along with a strong sense of attention to detail.

Elliot joined Balmain & Co as a Contract Administrator, specialising in high level procurement and contract administrative tasks. He has since progressed into a Project Management role where he continues to utilize his natural ability to work well under pressure and thrive in the fast-paced nature of the construction industry.

As a Pre-Construction Manager Eric is responsible for cruitial design and detailing aspects of Balmain & Co's construction projects as they transition from planning and permits through to site start and beyond. Eric comes from a diverse background working in both rail and oil pipeline projects and holds a Bachelor of Environments and Masters in Engineering (Civil) from The University of Melbourne. Eric has worked on a number of Balmain & Co's key complex apartment projects in pre-construction, site and project management roles, along with managing our infrastructure and commercial projects.
Fletcher is a highly disciplined and proactive Contract Administrator. Currently based on site, Fletcher plays a vital role as part of Balmain & Co's delivery team managing the letting of trade packages, subcontracts, project financial tracking, reporting and more.

Giovanni is a focused and hard-working building and construction graduate with a strong passion for sustainability and the environment. He comes from a background in architectural design with more than 7 years of experience. Giovanni is eager to further develop his construction knowledge and gain practical project experience.
Griffin is a skilled Site Foreman with Contract Administration experience, high attention to detail and drive. His enthusiasm is an asset to our team, along with his construction knowledge and project experience across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
With over 10 years of experience, Hina has worked in various roles within the accounts function both locally and abroad. As part of the finance team Hina plays a vital role in the accounts function at Balmain & Co.
With a background in high-end residential construction back in New Zealand, Isaac made the transition to commercial construction upon his move to Australia. Isaac is currently in the role of a Foreman working on one of Balmain & Co's most iconic projects. His key responsibilities include coordinating daily on-site activities, managing trades and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Balmain & Co's WH&S, quality, and environmental management systems throughout the construction process.
With a background in real estate and property management, Jake has a keen eye for detail and a personable manner. After completing a double degree at Deakin University, Jake began his construction career as part of Balmain & Co's Graduate Program, after proving himself to be a valuable part of the team he has since moved into the role of Contract Administrator upon completing the Graduate Program.
Whilst completing the final year of his double degree in Civil Engineering and Business Jake joined Balmain & Co's Learner's Program on a part-time basis. After completing his final rotation within the Learner's Program and finishing his last exam at University he has since taken on the role of a Junior Contract Administrator on one of Balmain & Co's key projects. With aspirations to become a Project Manager, Jake is highly motivated and eager to learn all that he can about construction.
With ambition to create a successful career in the construc tion industry James joined Balmain & Co's Graduate Program to add some valuable experience to his repertoire. Upon completion of his Graduate rotations James has now moved into the role of a site based Contract Administrator.
Jay is an experienced Senior Site Manager with a pro-active approach to construction and leadership. Jay has a proven track record of successfully delivering large scale construction projects whilst leading complex site teams with a strong safety focus.

Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Balmain and Co, and in her role as the Head of Strategy and Business Development she drives future growth and diversification. Seeking out new contracts and opportunities, Jessica is responsible for securing a pipeline of future tenders, managing bids, maintaining current relationships and building new industry contacts.
With 7 years of commercial construction experience John is a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager. Possessing excellent technical knowledge and a business mind set, John is highly skilled in cost management, forecasting, risk mitigation, commercial negotiation, conflict and project management.
Jordan aspires to be a Site Manager and as part of Balmain & Co's Learners Program had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience whilst completing his studies at RMIT. Whilst a site-based Cadet, he was fully immersed in the daily operations of a construction site with the opportunity to learn through the mentorship of the Project Team. Jordan has since progressed into the role of a Project Coordinator and is is eager to broaden his knowledge and experience different roles throughout his construction journey.
With a diverse background and experience in retail, purchasing, warehousing and accounts payable, Karnik has worked for various reputable Australian businesses and brands. In his role at Balmain & Co, he provides support to the finance team and is responsible for accounts payable.
Ken manages day-to-day operations and the company's processes including project costing, head and sub-contract administration, cash flow and finance reporting, tendering and estimating and plays an integral role in overseeing all accounts, payroll and employer obligations at Balmain and Co's head office. Ken's expertise as a senior financial and commercial manager comes from his extensive experience in corporate reporting, project management and knowledge of integrated construction systems and provides Balmain and Co with future direction.
Kieran is currently completing his Carpentry Apprenticeship with Balmain & Co. Carrying out general labouring and carpentry tasks whilst completing his trade school requirements, Kieran has worked on many of Balmain & Co's key projects since he joined the team in 2018.

Kristian is a hardworking and adaptable individual with a broad range of Project Management experience both locally and abroad. In his current role at Balmain & Co, Kristian manages the Balmain and Care team, liaising with trades, subcontractors, clients, residents and building managers throughout all stages of the handover, defect liability period and aftercare process.
Lachlan has a great eye for detail and a practical approach which stems from his trade background and formal construction management training. With many years working as a skilled carpenter under his belt, the transition to commercial construction was seamless and he thrives as a Site Manager on Balmain & Co construction sites coordinating trade crews, resourcing and working closely with the project team.

Lani is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Construction Management/Property and Real Estate (Honours) at Deakin University, driven by her keen interest in property development and construction management. Demonstrating a rapid learning ability, strong work ethic, and exceptional communication skills, Lani initially joined Balmain & Co through our Learner's Program. In this program, she contributed to the aftercare team, providing assistance during the defect liability period of the various residential projects. As Lani continues to progress throughout her career in construction, she has moved through the role of a Project Coordinator to her current role as a Junior Contract Administrator where she is now stationed on-site full time, actively engaging in various tasks within the project team.

Leah is responsible for marketing and general administrative works at Balmain and Co. Her experience stems from a background in the design and construction industry here in Melbourne involving marketing, interior design and communications management.
Lucas joined Balmain & Co's Learner's Program whilst completing his formal studies in Construction Management at University. Whilst aspiring to create a successful career in the construction industry, Lucas is a fast learner and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Since commencing with Balmain & Co, Lucas has worked on various construction projects as a valuable member of the project team, gaining project experience and continually expanding his knowledge.
With a background in architectural design, Luke has a keen eye for detail and loves to challenge expectations. He prides himself on his commitment to quality, consistency, and efficiency in construction, all of which he brings to his role as a Site Foreman at Balmain & Co.
Luke is an experienced Site Manager with a vast array of project experience throughout his career. With more than 10 years of industry experience, Luke has managed various high-end townhouse developments, construction and renovation of luxury single dwelling residences, commercial buildings, and the construction of mausoleum structures. With a great appreciation for superior craftsmanship,Luke has an excellent eye for detail, and the technical knowledge and experience to deliver construction excellence.
Marc is a driven Site Manager with over 16 years of experience in the construction industry. Marc has a proven track record, successfully managing various construction projects from conception through to completion.
Matt joined Balmain & Co as a Construction Cadet whilst still completing his Diploma of building and construction. Upon completion, he transitioned to a full-time site-based role where he gained valuable experience throughout all stages of construction projects. Matt has a great work ethic, strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt, allowing him to successfully progress in various roles throughout his career with Balmain & Co.
Matthew is a driven individual, he's up for any challenge and has a strong technical knowledge which stems from his trade background as a qualified roof plumber. Since joining Balmain and Co as part of the estimating team, he has progressed to a site-based role as a Contract Administrator and then onto his current role as a Project Manager. Matthew is involved in costing, trade coverage, liaising with sub-contractors, trades and consultants, and analysing project data and analytics in relation to cost, scheduling and management.
Matthew joined Balmain and Co as Project Coordinator working closely with the project team assisting with management of materials, equipment, personnel, and the day-today operations of the project on site. He has since progressed into the role of a Contract Administrator where he is responsible for managing the letting of trade packages, subcontracts, project financial tracking and reporting. Matthew is no stranger to commercial construction projects with previous experience working on multi-storey apartment, educational and community construction projects across Melbourne.
Mick comes from a vast background in construction working on a range of projects from large infrastructure works in London to complex commercial and apartment projects here in Melbourne. As a registered building practitioner, Mick holds both domestic and commercial unlimited licences, and is spread across various projects at Balmain & Co. As a Construction Manager he is responsible for overseeing the development of documentation, procurement, programming and staff allocation. He is also involved in providing support and mentoring in areas such as contract administration, tendering, project costing and reporting, permits and coordination.

Mitch is a qualified carpenter with 8 years of experience working in both residential and commercial construction. Mitch has since managed several of Balmain & Co Queensland's commercial projects and specializes in demolition and refurbishments. Mitch has a sound knowledge of site management of residential projects.
Close Podge Conlon Contract Administrator Podge comes from a background in Quantity Surveying and has experience in QS and procurement, tendering and award of contracts, management of subcontractor packages, cost monitoring and claim reviews within Tier 1 level companies in Ireland. Podge is a dedicated professional, highly organised, and skilled in verbal communication, and we are thrilled to have him on our team.
Rene has joined balmain &Co as an Estimator in our head office. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is an accredited Member of Engineers Australia. He brings nearly a decade of experience working in residential construction both here and overseas. His goals are to contribute in the success of Balmain and Co by winning profitable projects for the company and to be a project manager in the future. Rene enjoys playing Basketball and cooking.
Ricky brings more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry and a high level of expertise. He specialises in managing complex façade cladding, curtain walls, windows and balustrades on large scale high rise and commercial projects. Ricky is responsible for Balmain and Co's international procurement procedures, façade design and installations, and construction design and detailing across all of Balmain and Co's construction projects.
With an impressive AFL career under his belt, Sam is self-motivated, highly driven and thrives in high pressure/ elite environments. Within his role as a Site Manager at Balmain and Co, Sam is pro-active and diligent, a great leader and feels right at home in the faced paced environment of commercial construction.
Sean joined Balmain and Co as a site-based Project Coordinator, and utilising his analytical skills and high level of attention to detail on a daily basis he quickly made the progression to a Contract Administration role. Sean is meticulous in his approach to any task at hand and hopes to take on the role of a Project Manager and gain more experience working on multi-level and mixed-use buildings.
With a keen interest in construction Shehriyar is an energetic and driven team member who is eager to learn and progress. Following a trade background, Shehriyar is currently completing a Diploma of Building and Construction to compliment his tangible onsite experience in construction over the years. As a Foreman at Balmain & Co, Shehriyar oversees and coordinates on-site activities, ensuring that progress continues efficiently by managing the work crew, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining project timelines.
Simon is a highly motivated Project Manager with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. With a background in engineering and contract administration he has strong technical knowledge and experience across multi-residential and high-rise apartment construction.
Close Simon Ireland HSEQ Manager Simon started his career at Balmain&Co. as a senior site manager where his can-do attitude and excellent leadership skills proved there is not much he can't do. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in several roles, including managing his own company within the construction industry. Simon has since been appointed the role of HSEQ Manager where he manages all aspects of OHS, environmental and quality control. He is responsible for ensuring all IMS and legislation requirements are met on site and within the company, along with organising regular health, safety and accreditation audits.

Stuart brings a wealth of experience to Balmain & Co. He has a proven track record, excellent project skills and extensive experience in both Civil and Commercial construction across both Melbourne and Queensland. As the Queensland Division Manager, Stuart is responsible for ensuring that all projects across the state are running smoothly. Some of Stuart's key responsibilities include acquisition, document control, scheduling and logistics, contractor management, supervision, and leadership.
Tom is a hard-working engineering graduate, and with a strong will to learn he is always up for a challenge. Tom initially joined the team as a Graduate Engineer where he proved to be a valuable asset to the team. Throughout his time with Balmain & Co so far, Tom has and progressed to a Project Coordination role, and now to his current role of Foreman where he plays a key function in the day-to-day running of the construction site.
