Aaron has great leadership and communication skills, and prides himself on always striving to provide a professional service and a finish that is second to none.

Alex Schipp

With 5 plus years of industry experience, Alex began his construction career as a Cadet Estimator and quickly progressed to the role of a site-based Contract Administrator. Alex has since delivered projects across a variety of sectors including tertiary, secondary education, healthcare and community. Alex's key strengths are his pleasant nature, diligence, and ability to learn quickly, which make him a valuable member of Balmain & Co's team and we look forward to watching him go from strength-to-strength in his role as a Junior Project Manager.

Angus Milham

Angus started at Balmain & Co in the final year of his Bachelor of Engineering at Swinburne University and has become a real asset to the team. He has a proven knack for problem solving and a strong willingness to learn which we believe are key contributors to his success so far. Since starting his career with Balmain & Co, Angus has taken on a number of roles from tendering and estimating, to head office day-to-day operations which lead to a full-time site-based contract administration role where he was able to gain valuable project experience allowing him to take on project management responsibilities.

Ben Cavell

Brett Howard

Close Brett Howard HSR Brett joined Balmain & Co in 2019 following a change of industry. His background in health and safety enabled him to quickly find his feet in construction and he has since worked on various Balmain & Co sites in HSR capacity. Coupled with formal OH&S training, Brett plays a vital role in promoting a positive safety culture and the coordination of occupational health and safety activities on site.

Brian Graham

With 35 years of experience in various roles within the construction industry, Brian (also known as Veg) is a seasoned construction professional with impeccable organisation skills and a meticulous approach to any task at hand. As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager at Balmain & Co, Brian is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our warehouse in West Melbourne, management of company tools, plant and site bound assets, and the coordination of pickup/ deliveries between sites and head office.

Callum Robinson

Close Chris Glover Leading Hand Chris is an experienced carpenter and leading hand, and has worked on many of Balmain & Co's key projects throughout his time at the company. His versatility and dedication to craftsmanship is second to none, and he is a great mentor to his teammates.

Chris Nucifora

Chris joined Balmain & Co in a Contract Administration role which primarily saw him responsible for subcontract administration including tendering, vetting, subcontract awards, variations, and progress claim assessments. He has since progressed into the role of a Project Manager where his personable manner and attentive approach to his work allows him to thrive managing correspondence and internal reporting, covering finance, quality, programme, and resource management.

Chris Sheerin

Curtis Brooks

Danny Hayter

As one of Balmain & Co's two directors, Danny oversees all of the estimating, tendering, contract management, project management, design management and development management across every project. He is highly experienced in design management, value engineering and value management throughout the tender, contract award and design development process. Danny was a contracts manager at Grocon over a six-year period on the HM@S Beach Apartments Project and Eureka Tower Project and worked for Probuild Constructions for several years after graduating with a Bachelor in Applied Science from RMIT. Danny also successfully managed the design and construction of over 500 apartments across 15 projects for developer, SMA Projects, over a nine-year period as the Construction Manager.

Dash Nand

Once qualified, he worked in both estimating and project management roles for multi-residential development projects. As a Pre-Construction Manager Eric is responsible for cruitial design and detailing aspects of Balmain & Co's construction projects as they transition from planning and permits through to site start and beyond. Eric comes from a diverse background working in both rail and oil pipeline projects and holds a Bachelor of Environments and Masters in Engineering (Civil) from The University of Melbourne. Eric has worked on a number of Balmain & Co's key complex apartment projects in pre-construction, site and project management roles, along with managing our infrastructure and commercial projects.

Fletcher McIvor

Fletcher is a highly disciplined and proactive Contract Administrator. Currently based on site, Fletcher plays a vital role as part of Balmain & Co's delivery team managing the letting of trade packages, subcontracts, project financial tracking, reporting and more.

With a background in high-end residential construction back in New Zealand, Isaac made the transition to commercial construction upon his move to Australia. Isaac is currently in the role of a Foreman working on one of Balmain & Co's most iconic projects. His key responsibilities include coordinating daily on-site activities, managing trades and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Balmain & Co's WH&S, quality, and environmental management systems throughout the construction process.

Jake Battye

With a background in real estate and property management, Jake has a keen eye for detail and a personable manner. After completing a double degree at Deakin University, Jake began his construction career as part of Balmain & Co's Graduate Program, after proving himself to be a valuable part of the team he has since moved into the role of Contract Administrator upon completing the Graduate Program.

With a diverse background and experience in retail, purchasing, warehousing and accounts payable, Karnik has worked for various reputable Australian businesses and brands. In his role at Balmain & Co, he provides support to the finance team and is responsible for accounts payable.

Ken O'Connor

Ken manages day-to-day operations and the company's processes including project costing, head and sub-contract administration, cash flow and finance reporting, tendering and estimating and plays an integral role in overseeing all accounts, payroll and employer obligations at Balmain and Co's head office. Ken's expertise as a senior financial and commercial manager comes from his extensive experience in corporate reporting, project management and knowledge of integrated construction systems and provides Balmain and Co with future direction.

Kieran Abbott

Kieran is currently completing his Carpentry Apprenticeship with Balmain & Co. Carrying out general labouring and carpentry tasks whilst completing his trade school requirements, Kieran has worked on many of Balmain & Co's key projects since he joined the team in 2018.

Lani is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Construction Management/Property and Real Estate (Honours) at Deakin University, driven by her keen interest in property development and construction management. Demonstrating a rapid learning ability, strong work ethic, and exceptional communication skills, Lani initially joined Balmain & Co through our Learner's Program. In this program, she contributed to the aftercare team, providing assistance during the defect liability period of the various residential projects. As Lani continues to progress throughout her career in construction, she has moved through the role of a Project Coordinator to her current role as a Junior Contract Administrator where she is now stationed on-site full time, actively engaging in various tasks within the project team.

Matthew is a driven individual, he's up for any challenge and has a strong technical knowledge which stems from his trade background as a qualified roof plumber. Since joining Balmain and Co as part of the estimating team, he has progressed to a site-based role as a Contract Administrator and then onto his current role as a Project Manager. Matthew is involved in costing, trade coverage, liaising with sub-contractors, trades and consultants, and analysing project data and analytics in relation to cost, scheduling and management.

Mick O'Connell

Mick comes from a vast background in construction working on a range of projects from large infrastructure works in London to complex commercial and apartment projects here in Melbourne. As a registered building practitioner, Mick holds both domestic and commercial unlimited licences, and is spread across various projects at Balmain & Co. As a Construction Manager he is responsible for overseeing the development of documentation, procurement, programming and staff allocation. He is also involved in providing support and mentoring in areas such as contract administration, tendering, project costing and reporting, permits and coordination.

Mitch Schneider

He brings nearly a decade of experience working in residential construction both here and overseas. His goals are to contribute in the success of Balmain and Co by winning profitable projects for the company and to be a project manager in the future. Rene enjoys playing Basketball and cooking.

Ricky Smith

Ricky brings more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry and a high level of expertise. He specialises in managing complex façade cladding, curtain walls, windows and balustrades on large scale high rise and commercial projects. Ricky is responsible for Balmain and Co's international procurement procedures, façade design and installations, and construction design and detailing across all of Balmain and Co's construction projects.

Close Simon Ireland HSEQ Manager Simon started his career at Balmain&Co. as a senior site manager where his can-do attitude and excellent leadership skills proved there is not much he can't do. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in several roles, including managing his own company within the construction industry. Simon has since been appointed the role of HSEQ Manager where he manages all aspects of OHS, environmental and quality control. He is responsible for ensuring all IMS and legislation requirements are met on site and within the company, along with organising regular health, safety and accreditation audits.
