Amber Hicks RN BSN CEN CPEN TCRN is the nurse injector for Baumholtz Plastic Surgery. She has been a nurse for over 15 years with extensive trauma and emergency clinical training and certifications. She continues to teach fellow nurses and first responders fundamental and advanced trauma care. At BPS, she brings extensive training in injectable treatments for patients seeking aesthetic improvements. She's fun, talented, and most importantly - believes in giving patients honest assessment and setting realistic expectations. Whether it's lines that need smoothing or lips that need plumping - Nurse Amber will see you next!

Dr. Michael Baumholtz (Dr B) is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Reconstructive Surgeon with expertise encompasses a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Affectionately known as Dr. B, he prides himself on the relationships he builds and maintains with each of his patients. In terms of his background and experience - Dr B trained in 3 different but related surgical fields: General Surgery, Hand and Microsurgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Based on his training and extensive experience, he is frequently called on to help other surgeons. In addition, he is often referred complex or revision cases to provide input and solutions. He is singularly committed to providing a safe and secure experience to his patients while helping them look and feel their best.
Katherine Martinez, but lovingly know as Kat by all, was born and raised in Texas. When she graduated from high school, she joined the Navy and was stationed in California. After she served Navy for 4 years she then moved back Texas in 2021. She now resides in San Antonio and has been working with her BPS family for over a year now. She feels blessed to be part of the BPS Team and loves her role as our Patient Care Coordinator. She enjoys assisting all our patients as they move forward in their plastic surgery journey.

Born and raised in Texas, joined the Navy straight out of high school and was stationed in California, moved back to Texas in 2021 and started working with my BPS family since March and I am beyond blessed to be here and I'm loving what I am doing.
Michelle Chavez is a certified aesthetician who performs all aspect of skin care - including laser treatments, chemical peels, and microneedling.
Michelle loves making people happy. A patient who leaves feeling beautiful is her greatest reward. "Your skin is your first impression - making people feel more confident about themselves is a fundamental reason for being an aesthetician."
Michelle has been a certified aesthetician for 3 years. She received top notch training and experience from the following schools: Beauty Lab SA, Aesthetics Laser Institute of America, The Milan Institute, and The Skin Permanent Makeup Institute.
Michelle remembers her grandmother as the reason she first became interested in helping people look their best. "Grandmom was diligent in self care" and inspired Michelle to not only do the same with her skin but to help others as well. Michelle grew up in McAllen Texas and moved to San Antonio in 2010. When she's not behind the magnification glass of the steam tower - you'll find her enjoy outdoor activities in and around San Antonio.
