Anthony F. Santore

Tony is a client services Partner for both the firm's audit and tax clients. He has experience in a variety of areas such as not-for-profit, professional services, marketing, manufacturing and distribution. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and the CTCPA Not-For-Profit Committee. He is involved with the community and is currently serving on the Finance Committee of Whitney Center, Inc. He previously served as the Board Chair for Whitney Center, Inc. He is the Treasurer of New Haven Country Club, Inc. and served as the Club's President for 2016. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Fair Haven Cemetery Association, Inc. He graduated from Fairfield University and received a Master in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance from the University of New Haven.

David C. Migani - CEO

David is the former Managing Partner of BHCB. He joined the firm in 1979. Over his 40 years, he has developed extensive experience in the tax, accounting and business services areas.

Dennis W. Cole - CEO

Dennis is the Managing Partner of BHCB. He provides tax, accounting and auditing services for the firm. His tax work focuses on both personal and business, with an emphasis in multi-state returns. For auditing, he specializes in employee benefit plans, with a focus on multi-employer union benefit funds. He has been with the firm since 1994 and became a Partner in January 2010. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). Dennis is currently Treasurer of the Madison Jaycees Foundation, board member of the SARAH Foundation, former President of the CTCPA, and a member of the National Football Foundation's New Haven chapter. He is the former Treasurer of the Guilford Chapter of Rotary International. Additionally, Dennis was awarded the CTCPA's Member of the Year award (Jack Brooks award), for the 2013 - 2014 year for his service to both the accounting industry and the CTCPA. Dennis graduated from Villanova University in May 1992.

Edward P. Burger

Ed is a client services Partner of BHCB. His principal areas of expertise are accounting and auditing, tax and litigation support services. Ed is a client services Partner of BHCB. As the previous Managing Partner of the firm for over 30 years, he uses the business management and leadership skills that he learned in that role to assist and advise his clients in business and personal planning. His principal areas of expertise are accounting and auditing, tax and litigation support services. He serves clients in a variety of industries including energy, retail, professional services, manufacturing, construction and non-profit. Ed has served as President of the Bridgeport Area CPAs, and as a committee member of the Relations with Secondary Schools of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ed is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA).

Eric Ravid

Eric specializes in providing tax, consulting, and accounting services to individuals and small to medium-sized closely held businesses. He heads up the firm's estate and gift tax planning division and also has extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions. Eric graduated from Bentley College in 1983, received his CPA certificate in Connecticut in 1987, and has been a Partner of BHCB since 1993. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). Over his career, Eric has served on a number of boards and committees of local civic and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven. When Eric is not working, he can usually be found boating on the waters of Long Island Sound.

Francis Jay Broderick

Jay has been with the firm since 2003 and became a Partner in January 2015. He specializes in accounting and auditing and has expertise in not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, professional services organizations, manufacturing and continuing care retirement communities. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner. He serves on the Non-Profit Committee of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a member the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and Secretary of The APT Foundation, Inc., as a member of the Board of Directors as the First Vice Chairman of Goodwill of Southern New England, and as a member of the Board of Directors as the President of the New Haven Museum.

Jennifer J. Schempp

Jenn has been with the firm since 2015 and became a Partner in January 2022. She specializes in accounting and auditing and has expertise in employee benefit plans, including multi-employer union benefit funds, as well as manufacturing and continuing care retirement communities. Jenn has been in public accounting for over 20 years. She has been with the firm since 2015 and became a Partner in January 2022. She specializes in accounting and auditing and is the firm expert in employee benefit plans, including multi-employer union benefit funds and also has expertise in manufacturing and continuing care retirement communities. She serves on the Employee Benefit Plans Committee (former Committee Chairperson), is a current member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and is a member the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She currently serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Orange Little League and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Orange Chamber of Commerce in Orange, CT and as a member of the Advisory Council Nominating Committee of the CTCPA. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and currently lives in Orange, CT with her husband and two young sons. When not at the office, she is usually found at the hockey rink or baseball field with her boys.

John F. Ermer

John is a tax Partner focusing on the areas of tax planning, compliance and financial reporting for small and mid-sized businesses, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, distribution and healthcare. He received a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Hartford in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1985. He has been with the firm since 1995 and became a Partner in 2008. John currently serves as a Board Member of ManufactureCT (formerly the New Haven Manufacturers Association) and is the former Treasurer of that organization. He is also Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of East Haven Public Television. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA).

Kathleen M. Kilian

Kathleen has been part of the firm's team since 1994. Her experience has been in the tax department, focusing on business and individual tax preparation, planning, compliance and research. She often deals with businesses which have complex tax and multistate filings. Kathleen also enjoys providing accounting assistance to business and individual clients with a priority of serving clients' needs in a timely manner throughout the year. She is often involved in firm projects that meet clients' specific needs. Kathleen is dedicated to being a leader and mentor to our other team members. Kathleen's client base includes manufacturers, service companies, medical and legal practices, among others. She has extensive experience with commonly owned entities. Kathleen is currently the focus group leader for the firm's state and local income tax group. Kathleen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University. She is currently a devoted fundraiser and walk participant of the New Haven Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association as well as a member of a local nonprofit arts foundation. Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family & friends, traveling, listening to music and cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially UConn basketball.

Lawrence A. Sax

Larry is a client services and estates and trust Partner of BHCB. His principal areas of practice are estates, gifts and trusts and taxation. Larry has served on the Board of Governors of the CTCPA, as Chair of MAP, Trust, Estate and Gift Tax and on the Bylaws and Professional Ethics Committees of the CTCPA. In the community, Larry has served as President of the Abraham Lodge #89, B'nai Brith, as Master Secretary and Treasurer of the Temple Lodge #127 AF & AM and as District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Masons of the State of Connecticut. Larry is also a Life Member of the Jewish Home for the Elderly Men's Club.

Martin Bernstein

Marty is one of the firm's tax Partners. He has been with the firm as a Partner since January 1990. He serves as an officer of the New Haven Jewish Home for the Aged Building Fund. Mr. Bernstein also serves as the Chair of the Endowment Committee of Temple Beth Sholom. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). Mr. Bernstein graduated from Boston University in 1963.

Peter D. Graeb

Peter has been with the firm since 1986 and became a Partner in January 1993. His principal areas of expertise are accounting and tax, auditing employee benefit plans, personal financial planning and consulting. Mr. Graeb is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). He is currently serving on the Connecticut Society's Committee and is past Chairman and current member of the Employee Benefits Committee. Mr. Graeb is on the Board of Directors of the Elm City Club in New Haven and a member of the Planning Committee. He is also a member of the New Haven Chamber of Commerce. He is currently a board member of the Gateway Community College Foundation. Mr. Graeb graduated from Quinnipiac College in 1984 and received a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the University of New Haven in 1990.
