BONNE TERRE DEPOT

THE 1909 DEPOT has been completely restored by its owners, Doug and Cathy Goergens. Careful attention has been paid to retaining the train motif as expressed by the authentic train antiques and memorabilia which Doug and Cathy have spent countless hours collecting. Here, one finds a 19th century English phone booth, lamps and lamp post, a caboose, dining car, and kitchen car. This is a train aficionado's paradise!... Bonne Terre is the mecca of SCUBA diving, with one of world's largest subterranean lakes, known as Bonne Terre Mine, perfect for "deep-earth diving". Guests who don't SCUBA dive, but have an adventurous spirit, may take walking and boat tours of this phenomenon of man and nature. Doug and Cathy will be happy to acquaint visitors with its history via tours which are available.
