Jack Brown

Jack began his investment career in 1965 with Goodbody & Company after proudly serving as a budget officer in the U.S. Air Force. Jack has 57 years of experience as a registered representative, as well as management experience. In 2016, Jack co-founded Brown Ruth Advisors, LLC, with Ken Brown and Peter Ruth. He specializes in retirement income strategies and planning. Jack holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations, as well as a BBA in banking and finance from Southern Methodist University. Jack is the second generation of his family in the investment business and a native Dallasite. Jack married Deanna, his high school sweetheart, and they have two sons and seven grandchildren. Jack enjoys participating in the nonprofit community. He previously served as chair of the Administrative Board of Highland Park United Methodist Church and president of both the Dallas board of the American Diabetes Association and the Park Cities Dads Club. His hobbies include traveling, golfing, reading, and grandparenting.

Ken Brown

Ken is a third-generation investment professional with 33 years of experience. He started his career at the investment banking firm John Nuveen & Company, and he later worked at New York Life as a director of mutual fund sales. In 1992, Ken joined his father, Jack, at May Financial and at Maplewood Investment Advisors, Inc., as a licensed securities representative. In 2016, Ken co-founded Brown Ruth Advisors with Jack Brown and Peter Ruth. Ken holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 66 securities registrations. Ken graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in finance and entrepreneurship. Ken devotes a substantial amount of time to both his family and his faith. Ken and his wife Suzanne are busy raising their two sons and daughter. Ken has coached both basketball and baseball for over 10 years. Besides spending many years teaching Sunday school, Ken also served as board president for HP K-Life, a discipleship ministry for kids ages 10 to 18. Ken enjoys playing golf, traveling, reading, and supporting the Baylor Bears.

Peter Ruth

Peter co-founded Brown Ruth Advisors, LLC, in 2016 with Ken Brown and Jack Brown. Launching his career as a financial advisor in 2006, Peter partnered with Jack and Ken at Maplewood Investment Advisors, Inc. Peter's initial experience began in 1997 when he worked as an intern at May Financial. Peter advises both novice and sophisticated investors, from developing initial investment plans to managing complex portfolio strategies. Peter is an investment advisor and holds FINRA Series 7, Series 24, and 66 securities registrations, as well as a general life insurance license. Peter graduated from Texas A&M University summa cum laude with a BS in civil engineering and from the University of Texas in Austin with an MS in engineering. After graduate school, Peter returned back to Dallas, where he grew up. He married Abby, his high school sweetheart, and they now have three kids. Peter is involved with his church and with JourneyMen, part of Search Ministries. Previously, Peter was the chairman or board member for the Associate Producers (Dallas Summer Musicals), Young at Heart (American Heart Association), and TAG (Center for BrainHealth). Peter enjoys playing golf, fly fishing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Robin Hibbitts

Robin Hibbitts joined Brown Ruth Advisors as the Office Manager in August of 2018. Originally from Midland, Robin graduated from Baylor University and has lived in Dallas for 22 years. Before joining Brown Ruth Advisors, she worked with the Crystal Charity Ball assisting the membership with fundraising efforts and publications. She has two children, attends Highland Park United Methodist Church and is involved in the autism community. Robin serves on the Board of Directors for 29 Acres, a residential community for adults with autism. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Thornton Brown

Thornton is fourth generation in the investment industry. Before joining Brown Ruth Advisors, he was in the marketing field as both a Client Service Specialist with Brierley+Partners and Marketing Project Specialist at Republic Property Group. He has also spent many summers while in school helping Jack, Ken and Peter around the office. Thornton is an investment advisor and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. After graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, he returned to Dallas where in his spare time, Thornton enjoys playing golf, spending time outdoors, traveling with friends and family and volunteering with the high school ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church. He is also involved in the Dallas Metroplex YMCA Scholarship Program and assists with the financial aid process for incoming college freshmen.
