Charles "Chuck" Buynak

Chuck Buynak is a veteran of the NYC construction industry. With 38 years experience working on major commercial, mixed-use and residential projects, both new buildings and major alterations. Chuck specializes in the area of commercial and industrial electric systems, i.e.: Lutron lighting systems design, installation and renovation; fire alarm system installation, and other areas of commercial construction. Diane Cahill - CEO, Founder

Diane Cahill is a seasoned government relations and communications strategist, with a focus on business and industry, construction, education, and healthcare. She has significant experience working on behalf of a broad spectrum of client interests in the public and private sector. Diane has a proven track record when dealing with all levels of business and government, and leads the team of government relations and communications professionals here at Cahill Strategies. After college, Diane started her career working with two of the Long Island region's largest law firms, developing her talent for strategizing, problem solving, and mastering the complexities of business and government. Her career path then took her to work for the labor movement, with a focus on combining government relations and communications to advance efforts for workforce development, education, and post 9/11 assistance for incumbent and dislocated workers. Through this role, she created a regional Workforce Development Center in partnership with the AFL-CIO, and held the role of Executive Director for the Long Island Region, while holding seats on the regional Workforce Development Board in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and serving on the Nassau and Suffolk BOCES External Review Boards. Diane has been a lobbyist and advocate for education and healthcare, focusing on children and adolescents with special needs and their families for more than two decades. Having worked in the field of autism as an outreach coordinator and community liaison in the New York region, she has gained the respect of the healthcare, education, and special needs communities through her efforts to raise awareness and advocate for people with autism and other special needs. She supports increased funding for research, access to programs and services, and quality health care. Through her efforts as a New York State Advocacy Chair for Autism Speaks, and in her continued role as President of the Autism Coalition of Long Island, Diane was integral in New York State passing landmark autism insurance reform legislation that ended autism insurance discrimination in the state. Soon after, Diane was elemental in the passage of companion legislation for BCBA Licensure, which allowed the insurance mandate the capacity to provide behavior intervention services as intended. She continues as a New York State Advocacy Chair for Autism Speaks, Executive Board Member of the Long Island Chapter of Autism Speaks, and as President of the Autism Coalition of Long Island, representing more than 35 regional groups and hundreds of families. As a lobbyist, fixer, and problem solver for a regional lobbying firm, Diane was promoted from Vice-President to Partner, where she parlayed her government relations and communications experience into creating a practice area to address the needs of the construction industry. Diane's relationships with State and City agencies and decision makers, along with public utilities, and regulatory agencies including but not limited to the NYC Department of Finance, NYC Department of Building, NYC Department of Transportation, NYC Environmental Control Board, NYC Fire Department, NYS Department of Finance, NYS Department of Transportation, NYS Public Service Commission, have allowed our firm to solve problems for developers, contractors, sub-contractors, and others in the construction industry, providing tangible, substantial savings for our clients. Eric Silverman

Robert "Bobby" D'Alessio, is a former New York City Department of Buildings Senior Executive Director of Construction Safety. Having held various positions with the NYC DOB for over 26 years including Construction Inspector, Supervisor, Assistant Chief, Chief, Inspection Manager, Director, and Senior Executive Director overseeing the Building Enforcement Safety Team (BEST Squad), he brings years of knowledge and experience to our Construction Department service portfolio. Mr. D'Alessio's focus is predominately in the areas of construction code and safety analysis for our clients' major new building and renovation projects in the New York City and surrounding regions.
