Sara Joseph

Dr. Joseph is a 1993 graduate of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been in private small animal practice for 30 years. Her primary focus is on canine and feline wellness, preventive medicine and general and internal medicine. She was born in NYC and raised on Long Island but has called Massachusetts home for the last 25 years since coming to work at the Canton Veterinary Hospital. She lived in Canton for 25 years having only recently moved and knows and loves our community. She and her husband live with one sweet cockapoo and have five adult children out in the world with their two granddogs. Outside the hospital, she loves hiking, running, cycling, skiing, fitness, and yoga. When not at work she will likely be hiking up a mountain somewhere in the state or cross country skiing around it. She plays acoustic guitar and does some songleading. Her newest hat is as a certified nutrition coach (for humans). Her greatest joy in small animal practice is helping pet parents provide the best care for their dogs and cats whether through wellness care, nutrition, medicine, pain management, and comfort care. With her decades of experience, she employs using a patient's history and physical exam findings to guide treatment options and plan that suits each patient and owner. She was schooled in the Art of Physical Diagnosis and utilizes that approach with all of her patients. Her longevity with the Canton Veterinary Hospital has everything to do with the community and her amazing coworkers.
