Paul qualified from UNSW in 1998 on a scholarship. He worked as a GP for the RAAF and was deployed in support of operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. During his time in the RAAF he undertook training in aeromedical evacuation, obtained a post graduate degree in aerospace medicine and undertook training with the USAF in aircraft crash investigation. He joined Shoal Bay Medical Centre in 2007 where he was GP supervisor for 6 years. He moved to work from Medowie in 2013 to be closer to home and in 2015 set about setting up his own practice - Central Health Alliance. His special interests include aviation, travel and sports medicine, and the management and prevention of chronic disease.
