Cindy Choi

Cindy received her CGA designation in 1997 and Bachelor in Accounting Science in 2002. She is actively involved in her community and has served on boards with various non-profit organizations for the past 25 years. She has a wealth of board experience from serving as Chair of CGA Canada and CGA BC during the CPA merger and transition. Cindy has received the following awards in recognition of her exemplary service and leadership to the Association, accounting profession and public: 2014 - Life Membership Award from CGA BC 2011 - Fellowship designation from CGA Canada 2008 - Ambassador of Distinction Award from CGA BC 2001 - J.M. MacBeth Award of Merit from CGA BC Her past volunteer efforts included Camosun College (2013 - 2019), CGA Canada (2013 - 2018), CGA BC (2007-2015), the Small Business Roundtable (2005 - 2014), Junior Achievement BC (2012 - 2014) and local CPA chapter to support accounting and business education and services to youth and business owners. She enjoys working with individuals and businesses to achieve their goals. Born in Victoria, she loves raising her family in her community and making a difference.

Gordon Chan

Gordon received his CGA designation in 1985 and has been in public practice for close to forty years. He enjoys working with small and medium-sized business owners in accounting, taxation, business and management consulting and provides consulting in starting up and selling businesses. Gordon has been active with CGA BC and CGA Canada board from 1992 to 2000. He served as the CGA BC President in 1998. In addition, he has served on more than 40 committees, advisory groups and task forces for CGA BC and CGA Canada from 1985 to 2014. He had liaisoned with CGA Hong Kong Association and CGA China for fifteen years and is one of the distinguished speakers at CGA Hong Kong and CGA China conferences. Gordon has served as a member of the Accounting Policy Advisory Committee for the Province of BC from 2008 to 2016. He currently serves on the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of BC and Yukon board as the Lay Board Representative. Gordon has received the following awards: 2008 - CGA Ambassador of Distinction from CGA BC. 2008 - Named one of the top 100 International CGAs by CGA Canada who had made an outstanding contribution to their communities and the lives of others. 2002 - CGA Life Membership Award-the highest honour that can be bestowed on a member by CGA BC. It is reserved for members who have made a significant and meritorious contribution to the Association. 1997 - CGA Canada Fellowship designation in recognition of his significant contribution to the accounting profession and to the public interest. In Gordon's limited leisure time he enjoys watching sports, travelling, dining, cycling, playing with his baby grandson and spending time with his family.
