Jackie is an experienced psychotherapist and an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy. Jackie works with children, adolescents, adults and couples, and is experienced in working with a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, depression, personal development, relationship difficulties, parenting issues, life dilemmas, bereavement and loss. Jackie has a growing specialty in working with self-esteem issues, placing a vital importance on the relationship we have with ourselves, a relationship which impacts on our lives in so many ways. Jackie enjoys supporting people to discover and explore their full potential, supporting clients to become aware of their strengths and resources and channel these, thus improving the quality of their lives. The technique Jackie uses is based on an Integrative & Humanistic approach and she draws upon different therapeutic models dependent on the unique needs of each individual client. These include the more conventional talking therapies incorporating CBT techniques as well as experiential and creative methods where talking may sometimes feel too challenging. Jackie trained as a relationship counsellor with ACCORD at NUI Maynooth and holds a H/Dip in Counselling and an advanced Certificate in Adlerian Psychology & Counselling Skills. Jackie subsequently trained as a child & adolescent psychotherapist and holds a MSc in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy & Play Therapy. Jackie is co-founder of the Clonmel Counselling Centre where she works in private capacity.
