COASTAL SCALES & REGISTERS

In 2019, A small group got together to sell raffle tickets at the Westower Taven in Ballina, NSW, hoping to raise a bit of money for good local causes and charities. That year saw us give away just over $10,000 and gave us the inspiration to keep going and make it bigger and better in 2020. Donations in 2019 included Biala Support Services $1,000, Jodies Inspiration $1,000, QAS Legacy Fund $1,400 and NSW Rural Fire Service Units $4,265! We were actually the first pub on the Northern Rivers to start fundraising for the NSWRFS heroes, commencing at the beginning of November. As we all know, 2019 finished off in a bad way for Australia with the bushfires and 2020 started with the fires still raging. Even with a slow start to 2020 we managed to raise $1,500 before the pubs were shut down due to COVID-19 - an amazing effort from our locals!
