Akira Robinson

Akira Robinson brings more than 15 years of experience working with life science organizations, specifically in launch excellence, go-to market strategy, brand planning, market assessments, HCP/Patient marketing, and market forecasting. His therapeutic area experience includes oncology, cardiology, metabolic disease, infectious disease, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and neurology. Over the years, Akira has developed strong relationships with his clients across the globe, often guiding products through launch and in-line data-driven strategic decisions though a cross-functional and flexible, but innovative approach. Prior to joining LSC, Akira was a Principal and Launch Practice Lead at EVERSANA Management Consulting, where he helped to build a new practice area to support clients in the launch phase of commercialization. Before that, Akira was a Senior Manager, Healthcare/Life Sciences, with Deallus Consulting, where he managed complex, multinational client engagements, and represented clients at numerous oncology society meetings. Before Deallus, Akira was a Managing Consultant with GlobalData, where he worked with clients in US, Germany, Spain, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, and India on more than 20 projects with scope spanning markets in more than 25 countries. He holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University.

Dean Gray BOSTON

Dean Gray has over 30 years of experience in life sciences and healthcare, having held senior consulting roles and many industry roles in strategy and operations. He has guided large firms and startups to bring transformative MedTech, BioPharma and Digital Health products to market, at pace. Dean provides growth strategy and commercial expertise that has accelerated business growth for clients in the U.S., Europe, and Asia across a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic applications. He has deep knowledge of customer and patient-centric device-data solutions, digital biomarkers and therapeutics, remote monitoring and mobile health, diagnostic imaging, robotics, and AI-enabled platforms particularly in ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, urology, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases, and a range of surgical specialties. Dean excels at helping clients to understand new growth opportunities, develop actionable growth and go-to-market strategies supported with compelling clinical and business cases, prepare and implement impactful product launches, and rapidly and profitably scale. Prior to joining LSC, Dean was a partner and global lead for digital surgery at PA Consulting. Before that, he was a partner at Technology Commercialization Group and a principal at Appareo, both life science strategy consultancies. Dean spent 20 years in the life sciences industry, including as VP/GM of Heidelberg Engineering's neurology division, VP of global marketing for bio-orthopedics at Sanofi Genzyme, and as VP international marketing and VP strategic planning for Boston Scientific's endoscopy and urology divisions. Earlier, Dean was GM of the surgical skin preparation business unit at BD and regional business manager for Asia at Lederle (now Pfizer). He holds a master's degree in international business from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from Earlham College.

Evelyn Tee WASHINGTON

Evelyn is a partner based out of Washington D.C., with almost 20 years of experience, working with executives and C-suites in global MedTech, investor, and pharmaceuticals companies. Evelyn leverages her deep expertise across multiple focus areas including cardiovascular, acute care, renal care, surgical and revascularization procedures, to help her clients solve some of their toughest business challenges. She works with a range of clientele from the largest conglomerates to up-and-coming smaller companies. Most recently in 2023, she was recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the most influential consultants globally, winning the 2023 Top Consulting Award in Client Service. Prior to LSC, Evelyn held leadership roles in strategy consulting companies including Boston Consulting Group, EY-Parthenon and the boutique healthcare consulting firm Kx Advisors. She also served on the Board of the World Bank in Washington D.C. as an advisor. Evelyn is passionate about mentoring and coaching women in the business place and has founded women's business initiatives. She holds an MBA with a double major in Operations and Marketing from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Joseph Wharton Fellow for outstanding leadership. She graduated with a BA with special awards and triple majored in Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences, Economics, and International Studies from Northwestern University.

Javier Picó

Javier cofounded the company and has dedicated his entire professional career to healthcare in different landscapes, focusing on developing innovative solutions to help people get access to the best health services available. Javier has collaborated with governments, health industry associations, hospitals, healthcare providers, medical device companies, diagnosis device companies, health insurance companies and, above all, the pharmaceutical industry, in order to align needs and incentives through innovation. That innovation is backed by a solid quantitative background, with the goal of implementing healthcare policies that are effective in the public sector as well as the private sector. Javier is an engineer with a master's degree in applied economics as well as health economics. He is currently developing his doctoral dissertation on "The Value of Health".

Ron Kwok

Ron Kwok is an Associate Partner at LSC. He brings over 15 years of experience partnering with life science and healthcare executives to address their strategic business needs. At LSC, Ron assists small, medium, and large biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies in their commercial and medical activities, which include launch, portfolio, and lifecycle planning. He is well-versed in engaging and supporting cross-functional teams to achieve key objectives. Ron also has significant experience in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, CNS, and rare disease. Prior to LSC, Ron's experience stretches across the healthcare and life science space. He has held consulting positions at ClearView Healthcare Partners, Eversana Consulting (formerly Promidian), and Frost & Sullivan. In addition, he's worked at Kaiser Permanente, as a performance improvement and change management consultant, and several oncology-focused biopharma companies in bioprocessing and process development. Ron holds a bachelor's of science in genetics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business.

Sabeen Shaikh

Sabeen Shaikh is a global healthcare executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the medical technology industry with focus in medical hardware and software devices, digital health and AI/ML technologies. She has held a number of commercial and operational leadership roles on both the corporate industry and innovation side, bridging the gap between the two worlds for relevant stakeholders in the ecosystem. Sabeen's strategic expertise is focused in executive leadership with change management, corporate and commercial strategies, commercial and vendor due diligences, market access planning, roadmap planning and prioritization, new business models and exit strategies. Sabeen's domain expertise is focused in neuromodulation, active implantables, orthopedics, enabling technologies, surgical visualization technologies, urology and women's health. She has had a keen focus on sensor technologies, digital biomarkers and personalized or predictive technologies. She advises investment funds, corporates and scaling start-ups on a broad range of health technologies and opportunities. Sabeen also advises various international governments on their future medical technology growth planning, innovation ecosystems and infrastructure, policies, as well as import and export technology opportunities. Her understanding of macro planning and population health needs helps add insight into the future planning of technologies at the granular levels. Sabeen's global experiences include having lived abroad in Australasia for ten years, allowing her insights into a number other healthcare systems and the nuanced market needs of other ecosystems. These deep learnings allow her to seamlessly translate opportunities and refine strategies based on market intelligence and customer needs. Sabeen speaks passionately on national and international stages on various topics that are nascent to investors and companies, and is a noted global thought leader within healthcare on various topics. William Leaf-Herrmann BOSTON

William has more than 30 years of experience assisting companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medtech industries, ranging from global corporations to pre-commercial enterprises. William offers deep expertise in guiding investment decision-making in the face of uncertainty. He brings a track record of success in helping executive teams develop innovative, actionable strategies at the corporate, franchise, and product level. William's therapy area experience includes oncology, immunology/inflammation, neurological disorders, rare, and infectious diseases. He is actively investigating how to accelerate drug development and commercialization through applications of artificial intelligence. Prior to joining LSC, William served in leadership roles with Strategic Decisions Group, where he led their North American life sciences practice, and IQVIA's Corporate & Portfolio Strategy consulting team. William holds a PhD in physics from Harvard University and a bachelor of science in physics and mathematics from Purdue University. He was a Churchill Scholar at the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow in the Society of Decision Professionals.
