Caroline Burke

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Administration Team
Caroline works mainly with practice accounts but you may meet her occasionally at reception. Caroline and her family have a pet dog called Jake.

Chris Humphreys

Chris graduated from UCD Veterinary College in 1984. He is a dedicated large animal practitioner but having gained considerable experience in all areas of veterinary practice over the years, he also likes working with horses and small animals. Chris especially enjoys surgery and investigations of challenging medical cases.

Declan Gilchrist

Declan also qualified from UCD Veterinary College in 2001. He is originally from Ballina in Co. Mayo.�Previously�Declan�worked in mixed practice in Co. Cavan and and in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford, where he dealt with both beef and dairy herds. He also spent some time in small animal practice in the UK. After gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of veterinary practice, he joined Deise Vets in 2007. Declan is a mixed veterinary practitioner and is interested in both small and large animals. He particularly enjoys surgery and herd health.

Hazel Terry

Hazel is from Youghal in Co. Cork. She completed an Animal Care nursing course in St. John�s College in Cork in 2004. After this she worked as a veterinary nurse and groomer at Youghal Veterinary Clinic from 2004 until 2009. Hazel joined Deise Vets in January 2009. She particularly enjoys surgery and caring for hospitalised animals. Hazel has two pets; a lurcher called Womble and a cat called She-Ge.

Mags Hennessy

Job Titles:

Mags works at reception and deals with enquiries from small and large animal clients and is involved in general administration.

Mairead Walsh

Mairead is originally from Dungarvan and qualified from UCD Veterinary College in 2001. She worked in a number of small animal veterinary practices in the UK and Ireland prior to joining Deise Vets in January 2009. Mairead specialises in small animal practice and has a particular interest in canine and feline medicine. She and her husband Declan have Hannah, �a Jack Russell Terrier and Billie, a one-eyed rescue cat. Hannah can be found most days at the clinic in Dungarvan with Mairead.
