Edwina Eade is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery and Ocular Oncology. She graduated from Medicine with Honours at the University of Sydney. She completed her specialty ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital including 12 months at Westmead Children's Hospital. After completing a Masters Degree in Ophthalmic Science at the University of Sydney she undertook a fellowship in Ocular Oncology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, USA. She undertook two further years of sub-speciality training with world leaders in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal surgery at the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, United Kingdom and the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Melbourne. She treats all eye conditions but specialises in Eyelid Surgery including Oculo Plastic surgery, Skin Cancer Excision, Orbital Surgery and Lacrimal Surgery in adults and children. Dr Eade is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons (ANZSOPS). She has published widely in the peer-reviewed medical literature and presented at national and international conferences. Dr Eade is a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney, RANZCO examiner and involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors. Dr Lisa Cottee is a highly skilled country Ophthalmologist. Lisa brings a woman's touch with many years' experience both here in Australia and internationally. She is one of the pioneering surgeons in phacoemulsification cataract surgery (which is now common practice) and has taught country eye surgeons this technique. Nominated by The Hon. Thomas George MP (Lismore) for Local Woman of the Year Award Lisa is recognised for her inspirational humanitarian services. Dr Paul Beaumont

Dr Paul Beaumont has been a prominent medical retinal specialist in Australia for over three decades and has led the profession in the management of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion. Dr Beaumont was a foundation year student of the University of NSW Medical School, graduating in 1966. He trained under the late Professor Fred Hollows, and was the first Australian ophthalmologist to specialise full time in medical retinal disease. He has been involved in patient care, teaching and research for the past 30 years and has published over 50 articles in peer reviewed journals, and is a frequent invited speaker at international meetings. In his position as the Chairman of the NSW branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and as Chairman of the Committee of Chairmen of all the Medical Colleges, he has worked with the Government in developing legislation in the areas of medical negligence and in developing the Optometric Act. As the founding Chairman of the Macular Degeneration Foundation, he has been active in promoting the patient's interest within the Department of Health and in raising community awareness of this modern epidemic of blindness. He is currently the Chairman of the Eye and Vision Research Institute and is on the editorial board of both the Clinical Experimental Ophthalmology and Graefes Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Journals. He is a member of a number of pharmaceutical National and International Advisory Boards. He is an advisor to Blackmore's Nutraceutical company but does not receive payment. Blackmores does donate monies to the Macular Degeneration Foundation which was founded by Dr Beaumont and to a project to reduce blindness in Myanmar.
