Laurie Oppel is President of Grid Advisers. She has 26 years of experience as a trusted advisor, project manager, and team contributor for major domestic and international electric utilities and industrials. Her expertise includes energy market pricing and policy development, asset valuation and transactions, portfolio optimization, transmission pricing and tariff development, transmission policy formulation, transmission planning and operations, capital planning, technical and economic analyses, and FERC compliance programs. Ms. Oppel has provided expert testimony on various transmission issues and asset valuations, including energy market structures, economic damages due to construction or operational disputes, generation and transmission asset valuations, capital planning and budgeting, needs assessments, good utility practices, and electric and magnetic field evaluations. Ms. Oppel was named Consulting Magazine's Top 25 Consultants in 2009 and has more than 40 publications in the areas of energy markets, reliability, electric and magnetic fields, and advanced power transmission and distribution technologies.

Patrick Hurley is a Managing Director of Grid Advisers. He has a record of successful utility industry achievements spanning 42 years and five continents. He advises clients in a variety of policy issues, including power supply, outsourcing of operations, rates and tariffs, asset acquisition, and organizational development. He has conducted numerous due diligence reviews, including independent technical, economic and risk assessments in connection with over $12 billion of financing transactions. In addition, he has played key roles in the negotiation of agreements for acquisition of utility properties, power purchase agreements, and major utility service outsourcing agreements. During his extensive career Mr. Hurley has provided services to utilities, private power developers, investors, industrial and commercial energy users, as well as government agencies and ministries.
