At the time, Scott Roessler, Michael Fredrickson and Randy Glenn were all employed at large engineering firms. The size and hierarchy of the companies meant less and less direct involvement with clients. Discussions ultimately led to the founding of Helix Engineering Ltd., a firm that would focus, first and foremost, on client service. Starting with the original three, Helix has continued to grow with the addition of top-tier technical staff.
