Clare is a Principal Consultant at Hyas, with over 15 years overall experience, across project management, strategy development and planning policy in both District and Unitary Councils. She most recently worked for Buckinghamshire Council (previously Aylesbury Vale District Council/Buckinghamshire County Council) where she was responsible for the establishment and ongoing delivery of the ‘Aylesbury Garden Town' initiative.

Diane is an Associate with Hyas, with over 25 years overall experience, across development management and planning policy in both district and unitary councils. She most recently worked for 15 years at Milton Keynes Council where she was responsible for the preparation of development plan documents, supplementary planning documents and led the department's work on neighbourhood planning.
Hatem is an architect by background and developed his career to specialise in strategic masterplanning and urban design. His work focuses on a human-centred approach in planning and design to create better places for people and the environments they live in. He has a diverse range of skills and experiences in the UK and previously the Middle East. He has lectured on architecture and urbanism at various international universities and presented at international conferences.
Jayne was previously Head of Millennium Communities at the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) where she managed the delivery of cutting-edge developments across the country. This work led on to working on new initiatives designed to test emerging quality standards such as the Zero Carbon Challenge, the Renewable Home and the Public Land Initiative. Working with Government at the forefront of sustainability standards, helping to inform emerging new standards and policies such as new Building Regulations and the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Jim Fox is a well-known and respected planner and urban designer. He has over 30 years' experience in urban design and masterplanning and has successfully led large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large-scale infrastructure-led masterplanning, public realm and planning developments. He has recently been Head of Urban Design for Gillespies' northern office, and is continuing to work with them on a number of projects.
Hyas have worked closely with Jim over a number of years including work at St Cuthberts Garden Village, where he led Gillespies work on the preparation of a concept design for the site. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience around placemaking from both a commercial and public sector.
Jim is a member of the Design Council (CABE) National Design Review and a Chartered member of The Royal Town Planning Institute. He holds a Diploma in Town Planning from the Oxford Brookes University and is a Registered Practitioner in Urban Design.
Julian is an Associate Director of Hyas Associates, having previously worked for 5 years in the Midlands Planning and Economics team of Ove Arup & Partners and prior to that as a member of the Advisory Team for Large Applications where he was responsible for coordinating the Midlands team.
Lucie is a Consultant Town Planner and has recently completed an MSc in Urban Design and International Planning at the University of Manchester. Previous to her recent academic spell, Lucie gained 4 years' experience with Buckinghamshire Council (previously Aylesbury Vale District Council) in their Planning Policy team, helping to get the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan successfully adopted and co-leading the project management of a design guide SPD.
Matthew is an Associate Director at Hyas and has over 20 years experience in public sector place based roles, over 10 years of which has been as part of senior management and leadership teams in Local Authorities.
