• In 2009, he retired from Al Dorra Petroleum Service Co. k.s.c.c., where he served as Chief Operation Officer and General Manager of its subsidiary Oil & Gas Engineering and Contracting Co and was appointed as a CEO of the group subsidiary in Sudan.
He served for over 10 years as the Managing Director, Maintenance at the Ministry of Education for schools and facilities.
Al-Otaibi started his career in 1988 working in Gillette, Los Angeles , USA, and then for ASLAK- The Steel Wire Drawing Company in Industrial Jubail City, Saudi Arabia.
In 1991 he joined Shuaiba Paper Products Company in Kuwait, he then worked for the Shuabia Industrial Area as a Feasibility Studies Engineer.
He was the founder of Kuwait Distributor Company (KDC), that dealt in the trading of Specialty Chemicals for the oil fields.
• Al-Otaibi has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern California 1988, USA.
