Jason Demers joined the Board in 2022. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Regina. Jason developed a passion for prison writing while doing one-on-one literacy work with incarcerated men in Kingston Penitentiary as part of a volunteer program run by Frontier College; he went on to explore the development and use of social networks to amplify prisoner's voices during his PhD. Jason has published work that centres the voices of incarcerated people and their families in both the Saskatchewan provincial, and federal penitentiary systems. He prefers networks of cooperation and understanding to concrete walls. In this vein, he teaches a course that brings University of Regina students into the Regina Correctional Centre to work on writing projects with incarcerated students.

Fayth is a leader of people, and she is experienced in senior leadership coaching, mentoring, and performance management of diverse teams. She is always expanding her knowledge and experience in employee relations, change management practices, and health and wellness initiatives. Fayth is an experienced project planner who has experience acting as project lead for various expansion projects. Fayth is a dedicated, client focused individual who achieves and delivers results.

Phaedra Hitchings has been working in collaboration to connect communities and learning for over 15 years. Currently the executive director for the Saskatchewan Literacy Network, she previously worked as Saskatchewan's Regional Coordinator for Frontier College, and Community Service-Learning Coordinator at the University of Saskatchewan. She is passionate about bringing together different ways of knowing and building partnerships for mutual benefit and greater successes.
Phaedra lives just outside of Saskatoon and joined the John Howard Society of Saskatchewan board in June 2020, and serves as Second Vice-Chair of the Board. In her work, Phaedra has started and supported education programs for people in incarceration, as well as programs for those who work with people involved in the justice system to help them better understand some of the societal issues involved in prevention and intervention. She also volunteered for five years as a literacy tutor in a correctional facility. She firmly believes in literacy and learning as part of the solution for building a stronger province for everyone.

Jennifer Angus joined the Board in June 2020, and currently sits as Vice-Chair of the Board.

Regan Ratt-Misponas is a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and grew up in the Northern Village of Pinehouse. He is currently finishing his Bachelor of Education at the University of Saskatchewan. Since October 3, 2022, Regan has also been employed as Junior Researcher for Culture and Traditions at the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (Health and Social Development Secretariat).
