Chris Keenlyside

Chris Keenlyside manages client services. After 5 years in the licensing department at a provincial regulator, Chris moved to John S. Keenlyside & Company in 1997. Fluent in French and German, Chris is the Company's "detail guy", making sure clients' day to day needs are met on a timely and efficient basis. He coordinates the collection of investment research for the Company. Chris is a devoted uncle and fanatical sports fan, and volunteers for our local church. Most evenings and weekends he can be found at a local hockey rink playing for one of his rec-league teams.

John Keenlyside

John Keenlyside began his career in the investment industry in 1964 with the national firm A.E. Ames & Co. while studying economics and political science at UBC. In 1973 he felt there was an opportunity to serve clients as an independent portfolio manager and established John S. Keenlyside & Company Ltd., investment counsel. John and his wife Wendy recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and are proud to have sons Peter and Chris active participants in the family business. John has been active on numerous non-profit boards and has enjoyed many years developing and donating collections of historical materials to UBC, SFU and University of Alberta. He is a Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Societies of London and Canada. John and Wendy enjoy travel including adventures walking across Ireland and tracing the Thames River from its source to London.

Peter Keenlyside

Peter Keenlyside holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation (CIM) from the Canadian Securities Institute. He began work at the Company in 1994 after studying at UBC, and is a licensed Portfolio Manager. He continues to find the investment industry fascinating, and enjoys watching the interaction between economic policy and investment markets. Peter has also served as volunteer Treasurer for a local 100 unit low-income seniors' residence for the past 16 years, a field where he believes there is significant community need. Peter is the very proud father to John (age 15) and Christine (age 13), and enjoys cheering them on from the sidelines most weekends, and he and his wife Lisa volunteer extensively in their community sports.
