This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Data Science and Machine Learning with the Python programming language. Students will progress through working on Python Jupyter "notebooks" covering topics like Random Forests, Decision Trees and Logistic Regression... Learn how to use computational tools to visualize proteins, search protein databases and model protein structure. Learn about lab techniques to synthesize proteins and measure how well they bind target molecules. Opportunity for promising student drug designs to be synthesized and analyzed.
